My neighbours, Beth and Greg are a very endearing couple. They are married forever and still hold hands when they toodle off to the market, dragging their shopping trolley and discussing the next meal. There is however one serious bone of contention between them and that is the fact that Greg loves... Sign in to see full entry.
A quick laugh
I've only got time today for a very short entry as I am seriously "cybernating" and applying for writing jobs. But I just heard this pearl of wisdom and wanted to provide you with a little chuckle. Life is like a roll of toilet paper; the more it approaches the end, the faster it goes. Sign in to see full entry.

It's Nobel Prize Time
This month the Nobel Prize Laureates wer announced, to be feasted and celebrated on the 10th of December. The occasion propmted me to do a little research on how all that came about, which of course lead back to the will of Alfred Nobel. What amazed me is that a document with such an amazing impact... A whole new use for pancakes
Brenda and Greg took their six year old son to the doctor. With some hesitation they explained, that although their little sunshine appeared to be in good health, they were somewhat concerned about his rather small penis. The doctor explained confidently: "Just feed him pancakes, that should solve... Sign in to see full entry.

Do you know what SUFi is?
Today I had enough of the lack of culture in the not so small town of Didim in Turkey where I still have to spend the next six weeks until I return to Miami. Now I know..
why they call it a "cat fight". Yesterday afternoon, I was lying here: trying to get warm after my brave cold water swim. Nobody else was around. Then I was startled by the most aweful, vicious shrieks I have ever heard. We do have a lot of stray, wild cats around here. The cat loving Brits feed... Sign in to see full entry.
Last one out.
I've made a bet with myself: I want to see how long I can still bear the by now very cold water in the pool and do my daily lenths. I am already the last one who is brave enough to dive in. The water is cold, the wind is cold but the sun is still rather hot between 2 and 5 pm. So, I run from my door... Sign in to see full entry.

Love is blind
The essence of the following story was sent to me as an email attachment by a friend from Honduras. I do not know who the original author is and it was in Spanish. I have translated and modifed the story but in all honesty I must say that it isn't mine. Belinda was blind and she hated it. Everybody... Sign in to see full entry.

Commenting on my post "Why blogit makes me humble" muley12 wrote: Who would have thought..blogging an opiate for the masses. I haven't figured out if that was meant nicely or not, but it doen't matter. Although I wouldn't exactly refer to our blogit community as the masses, otherwise the comment is...
