No end of rage

Well, I have heard about road-rage, air-rage, but never before of gadget rage. You live and learn and today I found some outrageous stories about people who completely lost it when their TV, computer, ipod, lawn mower (!) malfunctioned one times too many. Most took a shot gun to the device, which, I... Sign in to see full entry.

Three months away from a place one calls home and one of the pleasures is to revisit friends and acquaintances to see what has happened to them in the meantime. A story for kabu and wiley

See, my dears, you are not the only ones who had to struggle so hard to tie the knot. Here is the story of my friends and neigbors in Turkey, Maureen and Derrick. He was born in Goa/India but came to the UK at the age of 12. She is your proverbial English rose, although by now in full bloom. Anyway,... Sign in to see full entry.

What do you cook for Easter?

Well, me being the domestic she-devil, I'll probably just about manage to boil an egg. However although I don't and can't cook I just love to read recipes and hear about other peoples' culinary skills. Different countries, different habits. Is it lamb or fish for you or something entirely different?... Sign in to see full entry.

For troosha

You seemed to like Tobacco Road, so here is a bit more about the restaurant. It is in fact a historical place, located bang on the Miami River (and next door to my condo) where in the olden times the tobacco ships from Cuba used to dock, hence the name. The sailors and stevedores needed to be fend... Sign in to see full entry.

South Florida is going green

About time too, that the hotel industry which generates a lot of waste, is catching on. An organisation called Ecotel Consulting is advising hotels on how to go green, save water etc. They take on one hotel at a time and seem to be quite successful. A new resort on Key West, the Hyatt Key West... Sign in to see full entry.
