Burn the Witches!!

The things that happened in Salem with the poor women accused of witchcraft would happily not be tolerated today. No one is allowed to yell 'fire' in a crowded theatre. Yet here on Blogit we have a blog entitled "Shoot a Non-Believer ...... ". Does blogit staff think such exhortation to violence is a good idea and to be encouraged here???

30 - Minute Writer

For those that think they have no time to write go to your library or bookstore and buy a copy of the book "30 - Minute Writer - How To Write and Sell Short Pieces," by Connie Emerson. The bppk is published by Writer's Digest Books. The book is well worth reading.

Blogit Publishing, Inc.

I'd like to recommend that Blogit publish this book, starting in the Bay Area and if it's well-received, then in other major cities around the US:

Life is more than gladiator sport

If you want more thoughtful political discussion than "us versus them" crossfire comments, try  American Journal.

And, if you want more thoughtful discussions on spirituality mutual bashing of believers and non-believers (or believers bashing each other because they don't share the same beliefs), try Journal of Awakening

I think you'll be glad you did.

I'm getting lost in the Maze that is Blogit!

I have discovered how to check up on the most recent comments in my own blogs: is there a way to follow-up on comments I've made in other bloggers' blogs, if I forget where they were?  Sometimes I've added them to my Favorites list, but not always...

New members

Is there a way that - in addition to the links for most popular and the most popular of the day - to have a page that displays brand new bloggers' blogs and/or just newly created blogs?  For example, JoeShmoe joins up and creates a blog called "Love - the Joe Shmoe Way," is there a way that could displayed on a page set aside for the new stuff?  It's probably tough to design a system that can do that, but it would be an incredible help in allowing new bloggers to be discovered, and it would give us established bloggers a way to seek out new stuff to read.

Just a thought!

Nurses?

There seems to be several nurses here on Blogit. If you're a nurse, stand up and be counted by leaving a comment! We may have to ask for a new section just for you. ;)

In Danger of False Advertising

Blogit may become an 'online writing marketplace'; it is certainly not one now. It is not a 'marketplace' because it is not a market. It is not a 'market' because there are not enough readers (buyers). IMO Blogit needs  to sell advertising, revenue to be shared with writers, and Blogit need to add a READ AND COMMENT ONLY subscription category, to provide more potential 'buyers'. Furthermore, blogit needs to re-examine its logic for selecting 'featured blogs'. The most read blogs DO NOT NEED more visibility.
