Play Day Tomorrow

We finally have been able to get to replacing carpet for laminate flooring and we are preparing the floor after riping the carpet up yesterday. T is so excited. He picked out a really nice oak floor. It is going to look so good and will be so much better for his allergies. He and J pulled up staples today and I finished the kitchen. Painting, Painting and More Painting

The painting continues at T house and it looks really good. I finished the kitchen today except for the wood work. It has been blackberry winter here so it has been very chilly. T came and helped me get my lettuce bed covered with a vinyl table cloth to prevent the frost from killing it. I am working 3 hours in the evenings at the clinic for the pediatric provider this week. Busy Bee

Painting. One of my favorite things to do. I have been painting all week at T house. It is really looking good. He is so pleased. He doesn't like to pick out colors so he gives me a general color family and I pick the samples. So far he has been pleased with my picks. His house is looking brand new again. We will be alternating house and garden work next week. It will soon be time to plant the rest of the garden. We are starting blackberry winter here for the next several days. It has been cool... Returning Favors

I have finally been able to help T with a project at his home. I steam cleaned his carpet today. He has a very bad back and could not have used the carpet cleaner. He did a lot of Spring cleaning yesterday and was moving slow today. The next project is to paint the interior of his home. He has asthma and cannot paint because of the fumes. Back to the Clinic

I worked at the clinic today for the pediatric provider. I am going to be working 3 1/2 hours four days a week in the evenings for her. It's nice to be back where I am wanted. Last week when I worked I was told that I needed to clear all the negative energy. Every one says I am the calming energy for them. It will be good when we get to our new building next fall. Birthday Fun

It has been birthday week. T yesterday and Blake today. We had a cookout and great party at Blake's. Blake grilled steaks and chicken. I fixed a huge salad and an Italian Cream cake. Brooke fixed a great mexican chicken dip, a huge cupcake for Blake and mini cupcakes. She also fixed a cooler full of jello shots for the party to follow the family cookout. I Gave It a Try

I worked my first and last day of Geripsych. I am on disability for a reason. It was a day of dead weight lifting and diaper changing and avoiding kicks to the head and no breaks except for 30 minute lunch for 8 hours. Although in my younger days, I tackled this type of nursing without a problem, I am not physically able to do it anymore. Universal Decisions

I have come to know that my ideas are not always in line with what I agreed to do here on this earthly plane. It is like the Rolling Stone song"You don't always get what you want but if you try real hard you get what you need." It is evident that Hospice is not the path I am to walk. Fun with Gardening

T brought his tractor and tiller over Wednesday with his friend J to help him unload it. T and I had measured it the day before and marked it off. Mr X has a radio on his tractor and I got J and me a chair to sit and watch. We had a great time watching him till and drank ice cold beers and listened to music. They are so funny. A Family Garden

I took a poll and all agreed to have a vegetable garden this year. T always has a garden and he had agreed to help us. He is going to bring his tractor over and till the ground. Blake and Yvette, Kavira and Komate` and I are going to work in the garden. I have a sneaking feeling it will be mostly me since none of them have ever had a garden before. Moving Rooms

I have moved back into my old bedroom. It is a good thing since everything was cleared out and the room repainted and floor clean and waxed. I gave the kingsize bed to my renters along with all the linens so the boys will have a bed to sleep in. T to the rescue again with J and we got everything moved. Now all I have to do is clear out and rearrange the second bedroom into a semi-office and get all my stuff organized. I always have more energy as the weather warms up. I have an antique bed that... We Are Family

A few months back I rented my downstairs apartment to my friend who was the minister of the Unity Church and her partner. All has been well except for M being sick for awhile. The first of the month S got word her grandchildren were being given tylenol pm and their mother was going out. The mother got arrested and DHS found the children alone at home. Back to Work

I guess it is not my path to work in Hospice. There still has been no movement in getting my position there. I have been offered a position at the psychiatric hospital one day a week so I took it. I will just have to remember not to lose my ID or the Keys so they won't keep me. I used to work at the mental hospital in Knoxville back in the day. Another Week in the Land of Sunshine LOL

One person shouldn't be allowed to have this much fun in one week. T has been in bed most of week with his back. He and friend J came over to reconnect my washer which did not turn out to be an easy job. While they were here the sink stopped up. So, they had to deal with that. But it didn't stay open for long, The next morning they had to come back and unstop the sink and this took most of the day. While they were doing that the refrigerator was delivered.
