Here are some interesting cases: - A Turkish child remembered his days in another life as an outlaw and how he committed suicide after he became trapped by the authorities. He stuck a gun under his chin and pulled the trigger. The boy had a birthmark under his chin that precisely matched the bullet’s entry point and another birthmark at the precise place where the bullet had exited through the top of the outlaw’s head. - A young boy, born with pulmonary valve atresia – a birth defect in which... Animals Reason, Have Feelings and Morals, so Why not Souls?
While we may not be able to prove the existence of animal souls, animals certainly have a lot more depth than we first thought. First on the agenda is reason. One way that scientists have tried to prove that animals are cognitive beings is by watching for evidence of deception. Deception is a skill that requires an ability to see that others have different thoughts, ideas, and intentions than one’s own. In researching this concept, scientists have shown that monkeys, baboons and even ravens will... Sign in to see full entry.

Do Animals have Souls?
I was reading a spiritual magazine last night and there was an article (which I haven't finished yet) about the possibilities of animals having souls. Personally, I believe every living thing has a life source, maybe not a soul per se. But I do think animals have souls. Do you? And if so, why? If not, why not? Sign in to see full entry.

Our Life Force Never Leaves. It Returns Again and Again and Again.
The tomato plants have sprouted again, filled with green light and life. As I till the ground around each sprout, I’m transported back to last year, when the tomato plants that grew so tall produced fruit so luscious and tasty that I have refused to buy grocery-store tomatoes ever again. My mouth begins to water as I cast a wanton eye on these small sprouts, knowing what will be coming in a few short weeks. And yet, though each sprout has broke ground anew, the life within each sprout is the... Sign in to see full entry.

For Souls Who are Ready, the Hidden Path will be Aglow
A light glows within each of us. Its rays spread forth to illuminate the darkness. The goal however, is not to eliminate the darkness, but to inhabit it. All the light in the universe is useless for one whose corners have never been black. In order to live in love, one must have experienced the uselessness of non-love. And in order for love to exist in this reality, non-love must also exist. So for a soul whose light glows brightly, non-love has been a companion. And like a moth to flame, other... Write Your Hurts in Sand so the Winds of Forgiveness Can Blow Them Away
This was sent to me by a friend in the seminary. It's the first time I've seen it, and I loved it, so I thought I would share it. Two Friends Two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey t hey had an arguement and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, But without saying anything, wrote in the sand: Today my best friend slapped me in the face. They kept on walking, until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a... Sign in to see full entry.

One's Desire to Wed With Truth Will Bring the Finite Closer to the Infinite
Within the spark is a yearning to discover; a craving to return to one’s spiritual abode. It is the longing to coalesce with the divine Oneness of creation. The soul has a hunger that is never satisfied. It is a hunger that cannot be satiated by another. Like the hunter working to spark kindling with a damp match, the fire of revelation can be lit by no other. One cannot be led to the light. One cannot be directed to love. Only the internal desire to wed with Truth will bring the finite closer... Sign in to see full entry.

The Wellspring of Abundance Pours Forever
At the depth of our soul is the wellspring of abundance. Lapping tenderly at the rim of sacred sharing, its bounty awaits release. All that is required to open the floodgates is the intent to give. It is an everlasting, an ever-flowing supply. Like the widow in Elijah’s presence whose few drops of oil poured from a nearly empty cruse filled the needs of all present, so to will our wellsprings meet all requests. There is no need for hoarding. There is no need for selfishness. Only the intent for... Sign in to see full entry.

The False One's Vicious Dance
The muse descends again: The False One's Vicious Dance Hands shake and knees release For what’s at hand is far from peace Blood surges and voice cracks As darkness opens its first attacks Soul’s windows steal a glance At the false one’s vicious dance And yet soothing as a balm Is the Kingdom in its calm Though unions quickly shift At the sight of a divine rift Truth’s demise cannot begin If home is truly found within Sign in to see full entry.

How Deep and Circular is Your Path to the Truth?
“Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” This statement by Yeshua found in Matthew is about something that many seem to forget with regard to religion and spirituality: finding the Truth is an active endeavor, not a passive one. Yeshua in this example (and other Masters in other examples) tells us succinctly what needs to be done – asking, seeking, knocking. All three are verbs, denoting an action that must occur. This creates a... Sign in to see full entry.
