Difficult to believe I know, but yesterday dawned fine and sunny after two days of non-stop rain. Bit of an Autumn nip creeping into the air and the first few trees are beginning to change colour, but very slowly. Mostly everywhere is still green and verdant. Nearly saw a nasty tragedy yesterday. Nearly, but happily not quite. G and I were in the swimming pool when this little kid, aged around two, suddenly shot out of the changing area and raced towards the side of the pool. A Week's Holiday In The Lake District

I married a young couple in St Winifred's a year or two ago and had a phone call recently to say that they'd produced a son and could I baptise him? Amazing Music
