Where Is Nigel The Curate?

Have you seen Nigel the Curate? He told me he'd be back from his ten day cruise in the Med. last Sunday. I rang him. No reply. Thinking he might not have been back until quite late, I rang again next day as I wanted him to take a funeral on Wednesday 5th. Still no reply. I rang again on Tuesday and... Another glorious Autumn morning with bright sunshine, blue skies and last night's frost still lying around. I Am Well Fed

I am well fed and therefore expansive. (And expanded, but we won't mention that.) Had lunch with the Rural Dean today - you remember? He stood me up a week or so ago. It wasn't a good start to the day, with the phone ringing at seven forty five a.m. It was Gill the Reader, who was due to take this morning's funeral at the Crem. Note past tense. We had a Benefice service this morning because the Archdeacon invited himself to preach for us, following his visitation a couple of weeks ago. An Annoying Letter - And A Death

Got this really annoying letter from Ireland this morning. Apparently this guy wrote to me in April asking for info about one of the redundant churches in this area, for which I'm responsible. I'd just got in from this meeting yesterday afternoon. Ed said, "The funeral directors have rung. Something about some ashes you're supposed to be burying." "Ashes? What ashes? An Accident

Saw an accident last night. In fact, we were nearly victims.
