As I was quickly scrolling through “My Documents,” ( more than 500 saved!) my eye caught on the name, Billy May. Although his squeaky, high-pitched voice irritated the daylights outta me, you have to give the guy credit, for being such an effective pitchman. He became a millionaire by his own efforts. He also died in his lat e forties, from heart disease and/or cocaine use, if the rumors are true. A shame, however and why -ever he died. Anyway, curious, I stopped and read what I had written... This is an old posting from way back, in December of '07. It sure doesn't seem to have been that long ago! Guy One of my all-time favorite singers, Joe Cocker was, or will soon be knighted by Queen Elizabeth, for his contribution to music. Well done, Joe! A well-recollected ( approximately accurate) email that I sent to my school buddy Dave, way, way, back when: David, Every time I get an inspired idea, one that must be immediately communicated, before the stroke, it takes so long to turn this damn computer on, that I have forgotten what it was, that was so important to tell mankind. I suppose that it is possible that such remarkable animals have always existed, but until recently, word of these rare specimens has gone unreported, due to this having happened before the internet and digital camera/telephones made it possible for the world to see them. This afternoon, my best friend Dave Bradbury is coming here, for an overnight visit! Since we live on opposite sides of the state, we visit one another only rarely, face-to-face. I last saw David when I visited him, something like two years ago. I learned that he was coming, only on Monday morning. I can’t wait to show off my wood-burning furnace and my renovation of the original Sagehaven.
