Blessings and other things happening

I rested most of the day. I only had a slight headache this morning, but it was gone later. My "hot" shower turned out to be lukewarm, as someone had turned off the hot water heater. At least I got a lukewarm and not ice cold shower! Today is dog babysitting day. A friend called and needed someone to watch her little Jack Russell Terrier. She's a cute dog and knows about 7 tricks. As a child out dogs were mutts. They were nice dogs, but I always wished they'd been able to at least fetch. Clemy,... Sign in to see full entry.

Skype, a baby and a squirrel

Tonight my eldest son was on skype, using his webcam. We could see and hear him, but we had to reply in print. We had bought a webcam from Wal.mart, but it was too low of quality, so we took it back. We then ordered one off e-bay, but it hasn't gotten here yet. My son is in South K. It was really good to see and hear him and his wife and my grandson. It is amazing how close you can stay to those living all the way across the world. This is one thing good about our technology today. I'm watching... Sign in to see full entry.

My day so far...

I only have a few minutes to write. I cleaned a house this a.m. The lady is elderly and very nice. Her house is practically clean before I clean it. Susannah came with me and we got it done in an hour. We went to the library. I got some books for Greg on construction and Art for me. Greg and 3 of the kids went to our friends to help him take care of some weeds. Gideon stayed home and is making supper. I am supposed to go to work now, so I can get home early. I hate headaches

I woke up with a bad headache, almost a migraine. I know it was because I had quite a few cups of coffee and none yesterday. I had been cutting back, then on Tuesday I drank a lot. I don't know if I want to quit coffee altogether, but I also don't want to be addicted, where I have to have it. I guess de-caf (naturally decaffeinated) would be an option. A book I'm reading

My day is about over. I felt better as the day progressed. I have been thinking about doing things to improve my health. The first step is reading, I think. I am reading a book about a young man who got very sick, fairly suddenly. He wasn't getting better no matter what he did. He finally found out he had Crohns disease. Finally, he made up a diet that used Biblical principles and foods. He recovered completely. The name of the book is: The Maker's Diet by Jordan S. Rubin. I am not finished with... About this Blog

I plan on writing about past and present life experiences and what I have learned from them. I also want to tell stories of things in my past, some humourus, some serious and some trivial. I have done some traveling and want to describe those places and people accurately, maybe in some cases changing names if I see it could embarrass someone. I will write out of my heart and hopefully give hope to some of my readers. I do not have all the answers, but have lived long enough to know there are many trials in life and obstacles. I want to examine life, it's simplicities and complexities and share my observation and at times opinions with others.
