Constant Bye-Bye

The number of paragraphs I wrote during the Christmas weekend could be counted on a thumb joint. The email I was going to send to the Literary Agent before Christmas? It’s still here, unsent but not unloved. I have spent more time on this damned email/letter than on many a blog. First of all I made... Sign in to see full entry.

Constant Content??

As far as I can make out from me peering into dusty corners, Constant Content is an excellent name for the website; the articles appear to be Constantly there giving the website lots of Content. Of course it could be me, but I can appreciate why gomedome is wondering about the site’s self... Sign in to see full entry.

Five more articles uploaded to Constant Content

I must admit that uploading another 5 articles to Constant Content shows me up as the lazy sod I have always known I am. What I did with CC was upload 4 articles under one pen name and then log on with a different pen name and upload another 5. The first four articles were humorous in the Dave Barry... What a Plonker

First of all, I decide to send a short-short story to Badgerdog Publications, as mentioned in SincerityAnna’s blog, so I log on to the site and check it out. Then I peruse all the short-short stories that I have clogging up my PC memory – not to mention mine. I decide to sent the short about the... Sign in to see full entry.

Constant Content Acceptance.

Getting the articles accepted took a long time, due to my own lack of forethought. I uploaded the three articles which CC rejected. This time CC sent them back because of ‘typos.’ TYPOS??? How dare they say I have any ………….oops….. I forgot it was an American company. Did you know that America... Sign in to see full entry.

Rejected by Constant Content as Well?

All yesterday afternoon I spent looking up old (for ‘old’ read ‘unpublished.’) articles for the possibility of uploading them to the Constant Content website. This of course meant editing them to get them up to date, as nobody is interested nowadays in how I learned to grunt as I threw the first... Sign in to see full entry.

How to make an Idea become reality - or not?

It started with MayB’s blog about ideas. Last year I had an idea which a certain writer asked me about, citing the fact that ideas could be franchised. I pooh-poohed the idea and did nothing about it. Of course I felt differently about it after I realised it has since been done. Fury isn’t quite the... Sign in to see full entry.

Ten whole days to edit a chapter????

Doesn’t that strike fear into your heart? Ten whole days to edit a chapter I had already written? It didn’t take me that long to write it in the first place. I’d be as well forgetting every deadline I have ever set myself. True, we had a visitor from England for a few days and we spent a lot of time... Sign in to see full entry.

Which sector is my book aimed at?

Apart from the fact that the question is grammatically incorrect, I don’t know the answer. Apparently I need to know now, before even finishing the book, what age group my target audience is in. As the young lady from the publishers said, "There is no point in promoting a book about bringing up 3... Sign in to see full entry.

Publisher's Form

As anticipated, I have had no response from the form I sent off to the publishers a month today. What annoyed me most was the fact that the form was in their website and readers were requested to send it off. What is the point of asking for a form to be sent to them if they don’t even acknowledge... Sign in to see full entry.
