And the sidetrips happen in my writing life as well, word, which is no doubt why I am still an unknown genius.  There won't be any sidetrips today - not outdoors anyway, not with this snowstorm.  Have fun word.smith

Oh dear,
that's what the results of a wandering mind does to aya!  Gotta tell you, you're the man when it comes to giving your readers enjoyable sidetrips through your blogs.

Our Scottish friend brought over some DVD's of a Scots programme called 'Still Game,' which is in the same idea as the English one, 'The Last of the Summer Wine.'  'Still Game' is ever so slightly cruder, but hilarious with it.  In its own way, my book (re immigration to CA) is in the same self deprecatory vein, and is based on Dunesifter blogs and old 'Canadian Jottings' blogs.

JohnMcNab. I have "affixed" this story to my notion of you
I think you could actually try to start selling these self-deprecatory tales along the lines of the English "Grumpy Old Men". Have you see those series yet? If not you should

It's going to be my middle name for a few days.  John No Stamp McNab.  Either that or its going to be, "To think I drove across to a foreign country and spent a lot of money on tolls so you can forget all about the stamp?  What's the point?"   Which is good question.

You know something, ginnie! You could be right about the not being accepted because you don't send stuff out.  You are awesome, lass.

I'll post one of my articles tomorrow under 'writing' and you will understand why mine don't get published.  Cheers.   I need to stop writing articles for my own sense of humour and start thinking of the world at large.

I've just started submitting again, ginnie.  I have already discovered there are zillions of Canadian publications, not to mention TV and radio outlets, who won't  acknowledge my existence.  Not good for the ego, young lass.  Your articles are informative and entertaining and I don't understand why you don't get published. It is ONLY -16C here in Ontario today but we have snow warnings for today, tomorrow and Saturday, so we are rushing off to the stores to buy essentials - like wine, beer and whisky.  Take care, ginnie.

LMAO, Johnmcnab.  I absolutely love the way this ends because I do that sort of thing so much.  HAHA

Uh oh!
Plonker is such a good word too!!  So you submit stuff eh?  Now there's a novel idea!  Oh ya..I used to do that!    Geesh...I gotta get back in the ring!  I've found that there are several Canadian publications who wouldn't even look at my submissions...this was last year....but they only wanted Canadian writers!  I'm Canad....but they didn't want me.
