I see on my account, that I've now earned 7.44 Dollars. which in our money is about three pounds fifty. Not a fortune, but the sad truth is, that this is the only money I have ever earned through writing. How sad is that? You can put a load of old books on Ebay and get 20 quid, and never know what was inside. When I first set out on this colourful voyuage of writing, it was through short stories. The correspondance course said, that if I read all the magazines, I might be good enough to send in... Sign in to see full entry.

Money makes the World go round.
Just looked at one of my Fav' sites: Ariala, and picked up on something she was saying. Wwhat are the best ways of becoming rich? Writing sure as hell ain't it! My late step father once said, the biggest companies in the world, were Chemical companies. BASF, Chemi-linzs, bauer, ICI, ect. And the reason for this, the leagal side of it. They make more money sueing each other than selling the products. Patent law is the biggest money spinner, along with copywrite. Did you know ICI stopped the war... Sign in to see full entry.
Writers Markets
Trying to take this blogg a bit more seriouse now. The: "My Life" section was supposed to be a way for me to write down just something. anything just to get me writing something other than copy on Ebay. You loose heart when all you type all day is: Paper back in good condition. However, I've noticed the abscene amounts of money some of these bloggs attract, and think to myself; I could use some of that action. Of course there is little I can do until the novel is finished. But that won't be long... Sign in to see full entry.

The Grind goes on
Just to add a lighter note, the novel is doing well. Very worried about what people will think once it's submitted. The biggest problem, is what if they want such changes to it, I won't know the dam thing myself? Should I go on? Should I just write another? Or just say: stuff it, and carry on? After all, I remember the feedback, from that silly women after Summer Lawns. She had no idea. And I nearly took notice of her! What was it Churchill used to write on the bottom of his reports, as a... Sign in to see full entry.
Just listening to Jeremy Vine on Radio 2. Notingham Out of control? Yes. Things are too bad there to be tackled in the same way New Labour handles everything else. We need a covernment with courage, that can crack a few eggs to make an omlett. Tony Blair is not that man. He only went into Iraq because Bush told him to. Maybe things have been allowed to get as bad as this, for people to loose their tempers and rise up against it? But why has it got to this sorry state? The police are swamped with... The great leap forward
The novel is approaching its final stages. up to 75,000 words, with only back filling( sorry I mean characterisation!) to do. No ending as yet, put I want to leave that. Two reasons: not sure about where I'm at now, and, the fact its a reward for struggling through all that empty white paper. Staring at me. Mocking me to fill it up with something. I don't think I've got the balls to be a professional writer. I'm so full of doubts, and lazy. Even this blog never gets used enough. I feel as if... Sign in to see full entry.

Ebay Ebay ebay
I have found, over the last few months, that the only real way to make money on this acursed site; is to sell wholesale. That is huge car loads of books, as if you were delivering coal. People flim-flam about with a few paperback. Agonising over the purchase as if they were deliberaiting on theird world debt. I just want the money! Steve Sign in to see full entry.

Life goes on
Little to write about. My friend geroge had gone to Addenbrooks for treatment. We have thieves steal our petty cash, and snow had ground the village to a hault. Apart from that, not much. Ebay paying some dividents for us. the novel is grinding slowly on. Not much time or patience for blogs. Steve. Sign in to see full entry.

Fah 451
Watched Mickael Moor's Fah 451 last night. Most interesting was the stuff about John Major being linked with the Carlyle group. I know all ex prime ministers and chancellors, have contacts with big business after they leave office, but this one seems particuly interesting. More later. Steve Sign in to see full entry.

Are things picking up?
Trade generaly is picking up. there is no doubt about that. I life in a generation of boomand bust. We are always waiting for the next crest fall, and the recesion is only around the corner. Have we ridden this one out? I doubt it. But the nature of recesion has changed. People can't afford to just go on the dole, and doss around. they all have houses, and have to find job. And Ebay make a big difference to small businesses. Steve Sign in to see full entry.
