A Heartfelt Act

It took me a while to wrap my mind around this concept, but there is no such thing as coincidence. The more I became aware of my surroundings, on several planes, I started to see how this was proven to me over and over again. When two people's paths cross, it becomes an opportunity for some kind of exchange. Or not. It is up to each of us to choose what we will do. God has a lot to say about how we deal with opportunities in order to rise to our highest level. Let me tell about this case in... Sign in to see full entry.

Obligation or Opportunity?

In Conversations with God Book 1 (Ch. 8), God says in relationships, the key is not obligation; it's opportunity and we are under no obligation in a relationship. Instead it is opportunity that a relationship brings with it; opportunity is the basis, the cornerstone of spirituality. He goes on to say that marriage is a scared, oops, a SACRED relationship because of its endless bounds for opportunity. I thought I’d leave that typo in there as a Freudian slip. A lot of people find marriage pretty... Sign in to see full entry.

Surrender All

Turn it over to God. My husband looked at me with skepticism when faced with mounting debt against our business. If the only thing left he could do was worry, gripe and complain, then why not ask for some help? Obviously the worrying and making himself and everyone around him miserable was not helping. “Just do it, Jay,” I urged him last week. The tension was interfering in our newfound relationship as well. Yesterday he received just enough money to keep the bank happy and to renew the health... Sign in to see full entry.

The Circle is Complete

In the third book of Conversations with God, God tells Walsch: You are the life and the way. The world will follow you. You are not at choice in this matter. It is the only matter in which you have no free choice. It is simply The Way It Is. your world will follow your idea about your thoughts about yourself. Ever it has been and ever it will be. First comes your thought about yourself, then follows the outer world of physical manifestation. What you think, you create. What you create, you... Sign in to see full entry.

A Smile Spreads God's Love

Today I went to my appointments at the Med Center and checked out 13 months cancer free. The technician who did my mammogram, looked at me afterwards and said, "You've been through a lot, haven't you? And yet you are still smiling." I just replied, smiling, "What choice have I got? I'm happy to be alive! I'm just happy to be able to walk down this hall -- unassisted! I may fall over once in a while, but geez, you can't have it all..." When I got home and looked at my blogsite, the first comment... Sign in to see full entry.

Married Women Have More Orgasms?

I'm going back to the Rick Warren article from the 2006 March Ladies' Home Journal. In it he said, "Research reveals the pleasures of married sex are far better than those experienced during premarital sex or sex outside marriage. Would it surprise you to know that research suggests married women have more orgasms than unmarried women?" I would suggest that married women have ample more opportunity! My experiences have not shown that, although some would call me a big old sinner, I must say that... Sign in to see full entry.

"Why AM I Here, Anyway?"

I bring you glad tidings this day, fellow bloggers. Have you ever asked yourself just WHY are you here? What is your mission? Have you even considered that God still talks to us, sends us masters, teachers, and who, to this day, is telling us the truth about Him? I was introduced to Neale Donald Walsch and his Conversations with God after our best friend’s four-year-old son, James, talked of his own death for six weeks prior to when he actually died. James told everyone and anyone who would... Sign in to see full entry.

“Biblical Sex -- God Speaks”

I just read an article in this month’s Ladies’ Home Journal by Rick Warren, author of A Purpose Driven Life. He explains about God’s view on sex. He and I would agree on that. Actually, God approves highly of sex as long as there is love involved. I liked what was said about the Song of Solomon that is in the Bible and that it was a how-to manual "on reaching marital maturity and deep physical intimacy by paying attention to such details as privacy, unhurried time, complimenting each other,... "Tools for Change"

These are tools you can use to change your life starting today. You need not buy them for they are already in your possession. You just need to know what to do with them. Here we go: God tells Walsch: "I am giving you tools. With these tools you can change your life. I am repeating the most important of them. Over and over again I am repeating them, for repetition will produce re-cognition - "knowing again" - when you need it most. "Everything that occurs -- everything that has occurred, is... "Be a Bringer of the Light"

I never thought I would be an illuminati, a bringer of the light, where the greatest gift you could bring someone was themselves. It took eight months for the epiphany to happen for Mike and now he, too, is an illuminati. God's power is so great, that Mike is now turning to his wife (instead of me,) his chosen mate for over 25 years (for reasons that I must accept), for spiritual comfort. He has shown her the light, and she is able to cast some light in his direction now. I only know that much... Sign in to see full entry.

"I Have Sent You Nothing But Angels"

We are supposed to pay particular attention when someone comes suddenly into our lives. God tells Walsch, in Conversations With God Book 2: Be a gift to everyone who enters your life, and to everyone whose life you enter. Be careful not to enter another’s life if you cannot be a gift. (You can always be a gift, because you always are the gift – though sometimes you don’t let yourself know that.) When someone enters your life unexpectedly, look for the gift that someone has come to receive from... Sign in to see full entry.

The Gift

Mike told me I was his gift and then he said, "I love you." It's one of "those" relationships. He said goodbye forever, with the nicest of words. I still cry over this. As I rethought those days, I thought I'd have a little talk with our creators. My Conversation with God/Goddess Oh, I did a good job all right, God/Goddess. You picked the right "angel/messenger" on Earth to deliver this gift of light and love. I think I broke some rules like falling in love TOO hard along with a wing that had to... "When You Miss Me Look Into The Moon"

This is it -- the Final panel in the series. This is the most important panel as well as it signifies a truth I believe with all my being, to the roots of my soul I know it is true and I tell you, for I know it is there and it is more beautiful than anything we have ever seen. We will meet friends, long departed relatives, we will be as we were at age 30, considered our prime time of life (I was pregnant for part of mine.) Hope mine is at the end of 30 when I lost my baby weight! I will be free... Sign in to see full entry.

"When You Miss Me, Look at a Child"

This is the 9th of 11 in this series. It is my very favorite because it features our children as little ones. The first is our daughter, sitting on a bench, when our neighborhood was new. The next one is Clark's little girl, oh so small. Next is our son showing how big he is. The last has Clark's little boy, giving his cousin from Aizona a hug! God bless our children! "When You Miss Me, Look At A Tree"

This is the 8th panel out of 11 in this series. All photography is done by my husband over the years. The first tree was taken on the campus of the University of Kansas. The second tree was a beautiful autumn tree in Lawrence, Kansas. The third tree is taken in the Angeline National Forest in Texas. Yes, it is in the middle of the road. My husband first encountered the tree after dark, driving! You can just imagine what he had to say! The tree has surprised many a driver winding their way around... Sign in to see full entry.

When You Miss Me, Look At The Rain"

This is SEVENTH out of eleven panels I made that illustrate the poem my brother-in-law, Clark, sent to his daughter, Jamie, just two weeks before we lost him to Hepatitis C. This panel deals with pain and the fact that once you pass over (die) you are out of pain. As a person with Parkinson's, I understand the meaning of living with constant pain. I'm in late stage Parkinson's, so I now have pain. I went about 20 years without it. I keep it at bay with lots of medications, and they do the trick.... Sign in to see full entry.

"When You Miss Me Just Look At Life"

This is panel SIX of eleven that go with the poem "When you Miss Me." If you have been following my series, you are aware that my brother-in-law Clark passed over to the other side March 14, 2004, after a long battle with Hepatitus C. We always wondered if he suspected his time was drawing near. Not only did he mail this poem to his daughter, there were other clues besides. His wife would find him sitting on the living room couch, head in hands, crying. She thought it might have been that the... Sign in to see full entry.

"When You Miss Me, Watch a River Run"

This is the FIFTH panel out of eleven. This is a view of the the Missouri River taken from the West Bank, taken from Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas looking onto the flats of Missouri. The last panel shows Clark, with his arm proudly around his son, Tyler, who had just graduated from Ottawa High School. He was a junior at Kansas State University when his father passed over unexpectedly. He not yet quite recovered from the loss of his dad. This March 14 will make 2 years. "The river is wide I cannot get... Sign in to see full entry.
