I can't believe the sun is shining, that it is 74 o outside, that my windows are wide open letting in some fresh air. I'm enjoying it while I can, for snow is again in the forecast with a very extreme drop in temperature. Can you see the little squares in the sky of the picture. I just took the... Diversion Comes In Strange Forms
The world's largest Cheeto found in a bag is now enshrined on a velvet cushion under a glass dome in a restaurant in Iowa It is corroborated to being the largest by a certificate from the company itself, Frito-Lay. Why does anyone care? Why doesn't someone just crush the hunk of junk food under the... Sign in to see full entry.

Doing It Right
Pain perdu is a great love offering for a special-occasion breakfast/brunch for special people in your life. Nothing else is needed, except fresh strawberries, perhaps some crispy bacon strips or some spicy link sausages, and a pot of hot coffee. I learned this some years back from The Barefoot... Surprise!
My hat came today--It's perfect! I love it! The woolen yarn originally grew on a New Zealand grey sheep and it was hand crocheted just for me. I feel very special. It fits like a dream. The surprise is that there was with it in the package a baby one for Great-grandbaby Marianna. I keep laughing... Sign in to see full entry.

No Garage, Only A Parking Lot
In the wintertime when all the air in the house is dry from whatever type of heater that you use to keep you warm, your throat, nasal passages and skin get so dry and uncomfortable. That's when it's time to pull the cool-mist humidifier out of storage, if you haven't already. It really makes a big... Sign in to see full entry.

Getting Used To Change
A previous post of mine carried the tale of our 1982 Samsung microwave oven dying the death of a rag doll after continuous use all of these years. It gave us good service. It was a really big one that took up lots of room in a corner of our kitchen cabinet. We are finding out that it didn't have... Sign in to see full entry.

I Believe In Smoke Alarms
Last evening very near where we live, a woman and her three beloved dogs died in a fire. We heard the sirens about 8:30 p.m. The breaking news was horrifying. A retired fireman passing by tried to save her but he couldn't reach her. She had gone to bed early and was apparently sleeping when the fire... Sign in to see full entry.

Eat It Cold!
I would never have believed that I couldn't live without a microwave oven. Ours blew its stack today, or whatever they do when they give up the ghost. I tried to give it CPR, but couldn't quite figure out where to place my hands for the thrusts. It definitely deserves a long rest, it is a... Sign in to see full entry.

Hands Behind Back, Fingers Crossed
I must apologize for having fun at my Blogit friends' expense in the last few posts on the subject of the one-eyed hen and Rosie's bag. I won't do that anymore. I say that with hands behind my back and fingers crossed. So here is what I have. It was written for my sisters, and is about a cousin of... Sign in to see full entry.

Fun In The Digital Age
Little ones are so terribly hilarious. If you aren't around them much, you have no idea what you're missing. Case in point, the other day my great-niece had her toddler with her in a public restroom. After she washed her hands and dried them on the air dryer and was ready to leave, she turned to... Sign in to see full entry.
