it's just like when the Wizard of Oz went from black and white to color!!!

Well, today I drove home about 3pm and I noticed a couple of things.. first, that acrid sour awful smell of smoke wasn't in the air and second, I was seeing blue sky, the first in about a week! Talk about second hand smoke!

I am pretty tired of the smoky air here but am glad to still have our home! As you probably know, Southern California is a mess right now, with fires all over the place. The hills are alive...

with fire! The Orange County (California) fire started right across the street from us last night. The smoke in the air is blocking out the sun and it's pretty scary around here. We went to a drive through flu shot clinic!

Have you had your flu shot yet? Last weekend we went to a drive-through flu shot clinic- yep, 'just stick your arm out the window'! They had traffic directors, clearly marked lanes, it was amazing. I'm going to build in some 'quiet-just-for-me time...'

My days have been missing a very important ingredient- that quiet, 'just for me' time! Why is it getting so darn hard to get a good nights' sleep???

...just call me the Zombie of the Night! I'm awake so much now, at night. It is not uncommon at all for me to see the clock at 1:30am, 3am, 3:30am - any time of night. Is this part of getting older? No eyebrows...

We saw the new "Elizabeth..." movie today. Not as great a movie as I thought it would be but I can't say why exactly.
