I think I was still on Las Vegas time...

I didn't know it was possible to get jet lag without crossing any time zones! This morning I had to go back to bed and slept until almost noon. It feels so silly but at least now I'm feeling like I'm back in California again. Mister Cat was soooo glad to see us last night when we got home- you'd... Sign in to see full entry.

Home from Vegas

... and had a blast! Not enough time to do everything we wanted to do but we sure had a good time. Great sushi, wonderful drinks, lots of fun. This morning we walked over to the Venetian for a lunch at one of our favorite spots there. I had fun interacting with one of their 'human statues' and we... Sign in to see full entry.

I DON'T THINK I'LL BE ABLE TO TALK HUBBY INTO THIS ONE...

We're both feeling much better, thank heavens, better enough to go to Las Vegas this weekend for his company-sponsored convention at Ceasar's Palace. I'm really excited because I haven't been anywhere fun for about two years! Like always, I do my research in the fun department and this looks like a... Sign in to see full entry.

A beautiful day today!

Today I was well enough to get out on the Dragon and we sure had fun. At one corner, a group of high school saw me in my pink motorcycle jacket and cheered and waved. I nodded and smiled. Driving up to the gas station, the lady filling the car next to me saw me and said, "Right on- that sure looks... Sign in to see full entry.

Barking seals...

That is what hubby and I sound like today-- he got this bad bug too and it is a good thing that I am getting better because now I will be taking care of him. Mister Cat must wonder what all this barking (coughing) is all about. Stay healthy and sweet dreams!!! Sign in to see full entry.

The house protects the dreamer...

I'm re-reading one of my most cherished books, "Under the Tuscan Sun," Tuscany being a place I would dearly love to visit. One of the thoughts in the book really struck a tone... " the house protects the dreamer; the houses that are important to us are the ones that allow us to dream in peace. "... Sign in to see full entry.

If Hillary won, what would they call Bill?

.... being that I'm still hacking around (cough cough cough) and fighting off this darn bug, my mind turned to the mundane musing of 'If Hillary won, what would they call Bill?' First Husband? First Man? Wouldn't that be weird to have a former president in the white house again, only this time as... Sign in to see full entry.

The hawks are re-building the nest!

We heard today from our former neighbors that our hawks are re-building the nest for another season! Hopefully we will get updates from them and I'll pass them on. For those of you who didn't see last year's little cuties- here's a photo... Those hawks are about the only thing I miss about our old... Sign in to see full entry.

thank heavens for antibiotics...

Yesterday I said 'Enough is enough!' and pulled out the big guns to fight this cold as I could feel it marching into bronchitis and a sinus infection. We have a stash of Cipro, a very good respiratory antibiotic that we stocked up on during the biological warfare scare. I'm feeling better this... Sign in to see full entry.

Maybe I should try voo doo to make this cold leave...

It's only been three days but it feels more like three weeks! My nose looks like Rudolph and now I'm at that critical point where the cold is trying to go to my lungs. I always have to be really careful here so I don't get bronchitis. Darn, I miss my motorcycle! You guys have a good weekend! Sign in to see full entry.
