Well back in the work force - very busy and have to be very organised..

I am working at two places this week and it is interesting to see the differences in operation by the two Directors of Studies. One is abrasive and a bit overbearing and the staff are flying out the door. Good staff too. The other is very professional, friendly and supportive. One place is about control and the resources are limited and teachers have to share books. The other has resources and there is a friendly relaxed sense of camraderie between the teachers and the Director as I walked... Sign in to see full entry.

The Internet is such a wonderful tool that can be so misused...

Today I went onto to Facebook to up date my profile and to see if there were any other Leedses on FaceBook in Australia. To my absolute horror I found my so called brother's son has posted a naked back view of himself on his profile. It saddens me that people treat themselves with such disrespect and when you are related (only biologically) it makes it worst. I think that his parents appear not to have guided him in the right codes of behaviour and decorum. I am very old fashioned when it comes... Sign in to see full entry.

Well I am unable to make it this morning to my potential workplace!

Nir looks still very spotty and I must go to the doctor's to get a clearance certificate. I am a bit concerned that he may not be ready to go back to school just yet. He is still scratching and some of his spots bleed despite me having trimmed his nails right back. To top it off the poor kid went to the toilet last night in the middle of the night and slipped and hit the side of his head against the washbasin. He was half asleep at the time. So it looks like on top of spots he has a little... Sign in to see full entry.

I found Chooky's EGG NEST - 26 EGGS

I finally found out where Chooky laid her eggs when I went to get the poultry in the cage to go to a new home for a week while I tidy up the back yard. She had a nest besides the old Morton Bay fig on the neighbour's side of the fence. In it were 26 eggs. We put them in a sink of water and none of them floated so they were all good. I don't know how she would hatch that many eggs if they had been fertilized by a rooster. I am kicking myself that I did not take a picture of them. I gave them to... Sign in to see full entry.

A duck down...a dog with her tail between her legs & an angry mistress!

Well I did not succeed in rescuing my friend's duckling. The man who was doing the clean up quote may have left the gate between the two yards open. We have the two chooks and did have two ducklings, which belong to my friend and her two children. We were looking after the ducklings until they are settled in their new home. They live in the back yard and in the front yard, Bobi reigns supreme. She is the Queen of all she surveys there. But it is not enough. She is a territorial wolf hunting in... I am just dropping in to say HI!

It has been a busy kind of a day. I should be in bed but I blogged at Bigpond for a few hours doing a blog on a politican that was a bit harsh. Here it is a lot softer so I will put the pollies behind me and talk general talk. My son is still very itchy but on the road to recovery, please G-d. I missed the guen transfer this week so I must down load it from the net. We ducked over to our friend in Bentleigh and had dinner there. Bobi had already had her dinner; she ate one of the ducks. Poor... Sign in to see full entry.

Well Mystery partially solved!

It appears that my son may have another version of chicken pox or a pox virus. He has had chicken pox but he was under 12 months of age when he had it. So it is possible for him to get a 'mutated' version so to speak. I have had chicken pox so I can get shingles - lucky me and any other adult who has had chicken pox. Shingles is very painful. I also got offers of work which I can't take up until this clears up. He will probably be able to go back to school on Monday. I have to ring one school to... Sign in to see full entry.

Rashes, Chicken Pox and Shingles

For the last few days Nir has had a rash which is getting progressively worst. I have spent the last hour since Yom Tov finished at 6pm scanning the google images under anything from Shingles, Chicken Pox to plain ole garden variety ‘rashes’. (And yes, in case you hadn’t guessed I am one of those neurotic mothers, who fearing all kinds of exotic untreatable illnesses, prepares herself for the worst and worries. The worry gene was invented by my family and disseminated to the rest of the world’s... Sign in to see full entry.

AS far as reading goes, I have always been a BOOKWORM

I used to read anything I could get my hands on when I was a kid growing up in the country in outback Australia. I lived with my father and two younger brothers and my mother on a property (farm or ranch in USA terms). I learnt to read and remember having problems reading aloud between the pronunciation of 'through' and 'though'. At one stage my parents had hired a retired school teacher a Mr Vaughan who used a cane to switch us into line. Every time I read one of those words wrongly he wacked... Sign in to see full entry.
