Slight crisis last night

About a month and a half ago, I received a notification from PayPal that my account was limited; someone had illegally tried to access my account. I went in and changed my password and security information, thinking the problem was fixed. Yesterday I found out that it wasn't. Yesterday afternoon, I received an e-mail, allegedly from PayPal, which was a receipt for something I'd supposedly bought online--a laptop computer, for 380 British pounds. I obviously don't use that currency and hadn't... Sign in to see full entry.

Anyone ever watch the Bachelor?

I know, it's a totally trashy, unrealistic reality show. But it's highly addictive; I downloaded some of the episodes off the ABC website last night. I watched it for a while in college, but got bored. The bachelor this time around is this totally cheesy Navy guy they keep touting as "An Officer and a Gentleman." Last night I went to see a movie with a friend-- The Hoax, the new Richard Gere movie that's based on the story of the guy who wrote an "autobiography" of Howard Hughes.... Really good news!

You might remember the job I applied for and interviewed twice for, and was so terribly disappointed when I didn't get it? When the woman called to tell me that she was going with someone else, I nearly cried over the phone. To save face, I sent her and the other woman who interviewed me thank you notes, asking if there was anything I could do to get more experience. I heard back from one of them today, and they said that they wanted to offer me a full-time, paying summer internship! I'd be one... Sign in to see full entry.

Interesting evening...

So my night was an interesting one. I ate dinner with my parents, who were going to the opera afterwards. It was actually quite a nice visit from them. They didn't want to have drive in themselves, so they got a driver. After dinner, my parents were dropped off at Lincoln Center, then I was to be taken home. The driver said, "I don't know New York all that well. Tell me how to get to where you're going." Which was my apartment in Brooklyn. The driver is this very nice guy in his 50s and my...
