A career change?
I had a professor in college who was a great inspiration to me. She was a woman in her late 40s, never married, but she had an absolutely brilliant mind. She taught history, but she'd earned her Bachelor's degree in classics and she had a JD degree as well as a PhD in medieval history. He specialty was church law, but she taught medieval and early modern history, as well as some classical history.
