That's an oft-repeated line from a cartoon my sister and I used to watch when we were kids--"Pinky and the Brain." As we got older, it because the theme to the things we used to do together. I was the one who came up with all the ideas of things to do. Unlike Brain, I wasn't trying to take over the world; but like Pinky, my sister would follow blithely along, regardless of whether or not we got into trouble for our actions. Work has continued on the building we live in. The contrator and the workers on the project have been really nice about it. This morning as I was leaving, one of the guys asked me if we'd been having problems with the locks on the door--ie, had they been stuck as a result of the jacking up of the house. Since we're having problems with the deadbolt on our door, the guy offered to come and fix the problem. A little thing, I know, but very courteous nonetheless. They're doing work on the basement...
