WORLD WAR II BLACK OUTS

World War II was beginning to be serious business for everybody. The attitude was benevolent, caring and united. We still live in the house we moved to from the farm when rationing and blackouts became routine. The black outs were hard for me. At first, we simply turned off the lights and went to bed. I could not see in the dark as well as the adults appeared to be able to see. We did not know just what we should do about window covers.
