IT IS WASH DAY AGAIN
Who do you suppose decided wash day would occur on each and every Monday? Of course it is no longer that way, but when I was a child it was, except on rainy Mondays. Little remains today of the laundry practices as they were done in the time of my childhood. The huge black iron pot’s four legs rest on bricks which form a place for laying a fire.
