Sunday highlights

We had a nice day with our grandkids and took them to McDonald's. It's one of their favorite places to eat. They were so glad to see us and we were just as glad to see them. I asked about their virtual school and by the time they were done, I had no idea what they were talking about. They were... Sign in to see full entry.

Sunday morning in Cleveland

Good Morning! We've made it to Sunday and it's supposed to be 75 today. The downside of this forecast is that it's pouring down rain. We went to the grocery store and just like the last two times we've gone we came out of the store and it was just like a monsoon with rain coming down in buckets. I'm... Sign in to see full entry.

What is the Universe trying to tell us

It's 82 degrees in the city this evening. It's supposed to go down to 72 tonight. I'm trying to adjust to the different temperatures. Fall will be here soon and I'm hoping the temps level off and give us a break before winter comes in like the speed of lightning! At this point, I wouldn't be... Sign in to see full entry.

My Gnomes are up to No good!

Last night I woke up to a lot of whispering. It sounded like it was coming from the porch and since the house was quiet it didn't take me long to figure out what was going on. The gnomes are not happy because they overheard me saying that I would be putting them away for the long winter. I'm not... Sign in to see full entry.

It's freezing in Cleveland this evening

It feels so cold here tonight. Somewhere around 4 pm, we started shutting up the windows. I checked the weather and they said it's going to be 62 tonight. The humidity is way down and I think that's part of why we feel so cold. It's been such a hot summer with high humidity that when we have a drop... Sign in to see full entry.

September 11, is forever etched into all our minds

I had to run some errands today and quite to my surprise, I felt bad that I didn't get a chance to write before I went out the door. I'm wondering if anyone else ever feels like this? I've been trying diligently to keep up with everyone and make comments (Which by the way I love to do) It's a sad... Sign in to see full entry.

A Quiet Day on the Homefront

It's cloudy and it's been threatening rain for most of the day. We did get a few raindrops here and there but so far that's it. I read a post by Pat_B about the Pioneer women and how their job was never done. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope she writes more on the pioneers. I'm personally amazed by... Early Morning News

I was watching the weather this morning and they were reporting that our sky is hazy because of the fires in California, Washington, and Oregon. We really do have a small world and everything is connected. The fires are devastating and they showed whole neighborhoods in California that are totally... Sign in to see full entry.

Good Morning

We've made it to Thursday and all's quiet in the big city this morning. Our high is supposed to be 77 and that's a good temperature for me. It's not going to be too hot or too cold. The weatherman said that now that the nights are cooler the leaves will begin to change. I've been waiting for this... Sign in to see full entry.

The day the Tornado touched down on our house

It was July 29, 1999. I remember the day like it was yesterday. My oldest granddaughter had been born on July 19 and was just 10 days old. The weather had been very temperamental all week and it was exceptionally hot. We were running our window air conditioners around the clock. Two of the kids were... Sign in to see full entry.
