Fall

September and October, the car wash business season of Fall, is the slowest time of the year at the car washes. Most of my explanation for Summer being slow, the lack of road salt and pollen, applies. Share the Box

Location D used to have its own post office box. I am not sure exactly when Mom and Dad got the post office box but know that when Dad reopened the business in January 2008 after acquiring it the previous October, the business had a post office box. The Longest Work Days

The longest work day that I have ever put in were twelve hours. I worked a twelve hour summer week day at Location A back in 2002 because we were short on help. Summer

Summer is slow. As it relates to the car wash seasons, Summer is July and August. During Summer, Dad operates with the least amount of employees save for when someone is on a paid vacation, thus requiring help to be brought in to cover for the person or people out on vacation. Pollen Season

The car wash season known as Pollen Season sees business pick up. Once those April showers end, pollen regularly appears. The lovely green stuff gets caked onto people's vehicles.
