I tuned into watch the Stupor Bowl trophy presentation and happened to stay for "This Is Us," a program I've never seen or heard of before. Way too many memories there. Way too many. From the fire rescue to the tree scene, too many things to think about. I probably won't watch it again, but I must... Sign in to see full entry.
Updates: I found my medication, so the national alarm is over. My friends spent the night and have just left. They had reserved a motel, but we ran into someone who was looking for a room, but most of the rooms up here have been rented out due to the various snowmobile events going on in the area,... Another frigid day. It's about 5 right now and it won't get much warmer all day. Joy. I slapped in about 2500 words in my latest posted novel with the idea of finishing it by Monday or Tuesday latest. I think this story hit something like 19,500 words and it has sold well on Amazon. A Bit of History
I added a photo story over in my photo area. As I warn, it is not for everyone, although it carries nothing graphic, it invokes thoughts and memories some may not want to recall. What A Difference A Day Makes (24 Little Hours!)
First off, a tip of the hat to Dinah Washington who did this song back in 1959. There have been others, such as Natalie Cole or the First Lady of Soul, Aretha Franklin, but I like this version best. Alrighty then, enough of the music lesson. Yesterday about this time, we got about 14" of new snow,... Sign in to see full entry.

The Internet dude was here and replaced my huge modem. He said he didn't find anything wrong with it, it just didn't seem to respond the way he wanted it to respond when he tested it. The new one seems to have regained the speed the other one was losing. Win-win ya know? I've been working to refine... Sign in to see full entry.
Holy snow shovels Batman! We've got about ten inches of new snow since about 8AM this morning. It's beginning to taper off, but I've sent the dogs out to find my car. It's about 30 right now, but is headed to about zero tonight and people wonder how we get sick! I'm expecting a repair person to... Sign in to see full entry.
