I just posted my opening 275 words of my new 'drug story' over in my 'Let's Write' section. I need your input on its presentation. As I always say, I've already looked in the mirror and had my feelings hurt, so give it to me straight. Our walk didn't find anything of particular note, but the dogs... Sign in to see full entry.
Alrighty then. Morning writing shift is over. It's Doggy Day Care time. I'm getting dressed to take them out. I've wiped the lens on the ol' Nikon, and we are headed to the depths of the Hiawatha National Forest. Who knows the things we might see! When I return about 12:30 or so, I am going to post... I've got a new 'business partner' that seems to think that just because he is up at 5AM, everyone he knows must be up. After his third call to me this week at roughly 7AM, he found out this morning that I don't appreciate or allow that crap. Everyone has their own awake/sleep patterns. Yours are... I've got two stories on the run right now. One is making its move to the finish line, and one is fresh out of the gate. Both made big strides today. I also got my opening line in my newest murder story. After I get the first two paragraphs just the way I want them, I'll post them here for your... Sign in to see full entry.
A long time ago, Michael Jackson sang a song that describes the weather we've been having here. 'Like a yo-yo.' I woke up to an interior temp of 54. I had previously shut off all of the pilot lights to all of my various auto heaters, and had to spend some time reigniting two of them. Crazy weather.... Sign in to see full entry.

Well, hey! I just got an email from the head of the 'Fresh Ink Group,' an indie publishing company that has a very limited author list, but nearly 15,000 followers on Twitter. They work on 'invitation only.' I'm not sure of how they came to invite me to join them, but I've been following them on... Sign in to see full entry.
I'm back from my trip to Sault Ste. Marie, an 186 mile round trip. I got all of my meds this time, picked up some yeast so I could do some baking, and a few other odds and ends that I can't buy a for a decent price locally. It's warming up to about 74 right now, but it is heavy overcast and very... Sign in to see full entry.
The rain has stopped, but the high winds continue. I have to run over to the Soo to pick up meds that they didn't have on my Saturday trip, so that'll be fun! Some of ya will wanna tune out about now, but I just had a phone call from a friend. It seems I've had another 'God Moment,' one of those... Sign in to see full entry.

Ah, yes. The winds are beginning to pick up some serious speed outside, allegedly at about 35 to 45 mph. The sure sign of trouble for us/me here in this area is the fact that the wind is alternating from the south off Lake Michigan (25 miles south of me) and then out of the north off Lake Superior... At 8:30 in the morning, it is about 70 degrees, with the day headed for a high of 85. The funny thing? By Friday, the high will be 56. It's the Yooper Way. I'm not sure what is going on at the house just behind me. There are four police cars with their overhead lights running. I can hear their radio... Sign in to see full entry.
