Endless
This photo has a special meaning to us. It was taken in August 2020 during our honeymoon. As we stood there, looking at the beautiful waters of Superior, my wife said, "It looks endless, doesn't it?" I told her, "This is my love for you, sweet lady. Endless, deep, and forever." Nothing has changed... Sign in to see full entry.

A Big Ol' Snow Plow
I can't remember why I had stopped along the road, but I caught this shot of a passing snow plow on M-28, the main east-west thoroughfare across the UP, after a heavy snowfall. Sign in to see full entry.

Sunflowers Under the Northern Lights
We had a farmer in the UP who always had a huge field of sunflowers yearly. I've got a lot of pictures of the flowers from many different angles because I like to experiment, but then an idea came to me. The Northern Lights began forming for the night, and I drove out and caught this shot. Sign in to see full entry.

Sunlit Path
This was one of the thousand reasons I loved the forests of the Upper Peninsula. I have used a number of these photos as covers for my books, and at some point soon, this shot will grace a short story. Sign in to see full entry.

Just Another Beautiful Night In the UP
If I were to tell you one of the things I miss the most about the Upper Peninsula, it would be nights like this. Sign in to see full entry.

Canoeing At Sunset
It was a rare day when Mama Superior was this calm, and this young couple took full advantage of it. This was taken over by Munising, and the land mass in the distance is Grand Island. The young lady is standing up and paddling the canoe. I'm not sure I could have done that! Sign in to see full entry.

The Bear Tree
I have no idea what caused this to happen, but I have never seen anything like this before or since. None of the animals seemed to be stressed or upset. All told, I counted 15 bears in this tree. I still have no explanation for this phenomenon. Sign in to see full entry.

Two Moose Having A Conversation
I watched these two moose stand in the quiet, eddy waters where the Tahquamonenon River 'pouched' out for twenty minutes early one morning. They touched noses and stood just as you see them here as if they might have been brothers. It became an almost "holy moment" in the day's stillness. Sign in to see full entry.
