Death Comes Not to Scare, But to Accompany One to the Next Dream

Death comes to each at the appointed time. Not too soon, nor too late for those who wait. While Thomas states to not “go gently into that good night,” it is only so each and every breath can be given in love and assurance of the introduction of the Divine to all. Death comes not to scare nor to end, but to accompany one to the next path, the new beginning of the longest journey. Traversing now can be laborious, the weight of attachments pulling at the ankles. Or it can be unfettered, with each... Sign in to see full entry.

Even Death Cannot Save One Too Attached to the Profane

Attached to the profane of this world, we are restricted from walking with the Divine. The material accoutrements that define us, enslave us as well. This life is one of chains. Some look forward to the reaper’s whisper, to break the confining chains. But our savior may be impotent. If the bonds to the carnal are too strong, even Death cannot save us. Our shackles will accompany us across the river Styx, and keep us bound to this reality. As spirits we will be tethered to that which is ours.... Sign in to see full entry.

The Power of Belief. Another True Story

Talk about the power of belief. We sold our house this past week end. Usually, this would not be that big a deal, but since we have had it on the market since December, it’s a big deal for us. Living in the Phoenix area, we got caught in the frenzied market created by speculators last year. We wanted to move closer to where I work and closer to my wife’s niece. It had nothing to do with trying to get more money out of our house because the market was so hot. Anyway, we have what we are told is a... Sign in to see full entry.

Clearing a Channel for Energy to Travel Can Help Relieve Pain

Inspired by RckyMtnActivist She came to me a mess. She had low energy, told me she was always depressed and had various aches and pains, especially in one elbow and knee. As a certified massage therapist, I could help with some of her ailments. But she hadn’t come to me for a massage. She had come for a Reiki treatment. I explained the process to her, telling her that I would move to certain points on her body and help remove blockages that stopped her energy from flowing freely. I also told her... Learn to Help Free the Spirit of a Recently Deceased Person

In the hills of Tibet just outside of the city of Gangtok, if one is lucky, one may stumble upon Tibetan Buddhist trapas (students) practicing the rite of freeing the spirit from the body of a recently deceased person. The process is simple. While in meditation, a trapas will, without warning and with great effort, cry out the word hik! with a shrill. This will happen periodically for quite a long time. At some point, after having cried out several times, the trapas will begin to show signs of... Sign in to see full entry.

What is of This World is Also Not of This World

More of Thursdays With Death Death finally left my office after lunch (more doughnuts for him, a sliced chile and chicken breast sandwich for me), which allowed me to get some work done. I finished a project that should have been done long ago, but all of these visits with Death had really thrown my timelines off at work. In fact, all the work I had been doing on myself, on the path that I have chosen, has really taken a toll on the rest of my life. A couple of hours a day devoted to this work... As the Dead Walk Away, the Living Buried in the Womb

The procession moves slowly, between headstones and statuary, Between the future and the past, while the present’s in bloom. Heads bowed and lips quiver as misplaced sadness resounds Prayers are rote although comforting; crying hands touch the tomb. Last words fall tenderly as tears lead the solemn return As the dead walk away, the living buried in the womb Sign in to see full entry.

Intent, Light and Truth Allow All Possibilities to Become Reality

There is in each of us potential beyond believability. The Light within assures this. It shines brightly on all possibilities. Yet very few of us are even aware of these possibilities. Our potential is shackled and our Light is dimmed by the shades of carnality. Sleep then becomes eternal and our dreams of greatness become nightmares of despair that few ever awaken from. But an awakening is possible. The shades can be drawn. A quiet moment allows Love to caress. The tingling sensation signals an... Sign in to see full entry.

It's Time to Come Into Being

My potential has been compromised, Any future I had hijacked. By a society whose main concern is, Is the accumulation of stuff on track? Though society is an assessory The blame falls squarely on me. I bought in to the whole approach of Working to finance spending sprees. Ruled by all these attachments, I’ve been looking but not really seeing. It’s no longer time for me to collect, It’s time for me to come into being. Sign in to see full entry.

How Did My Moral Beliefs End up Differing From Those of Family, Society?

So, explain this: My moral and ethical beliefs are different than my parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins. They are different than the basic ones taught in school. They are different than those taught in the churches I attended (Lutheran and Methodist). They are different than many of my closest friends. They are different than what is seen on most TV shows and in most movies. Where then, did my moral and ethical beliefs come from? Sign in to see full entry.
