Can One's Thoughts Become Form?

The continuing saga of Thursdays With Death: Death left my apartment after finally accepting that he was going to look like Johnny Depp. I went to work for the next couple of days, but wasn’t very effective while I was there. I had way too much on my mind. It was time for another bike ride. Come Saturday morning, I took off again, only this time heading due east toward Globe and Miami, Arizona. I loved this ride as well as the ride to Payson, but for different reasons. While the ride to Payson... Sign in to see full entry.

I Walk Alone Each Day - I am Compassion

I walk alone each day, searching for companionship, wishing for another to share in this divine work. While it does not stop me, my isolation slows me down. I work continuously to lift up the fallen, to erase the pain of those afflicted, to touch the hearts of as many as I can, but the path is so long and treacherous. I walk alone each day, though on occasion I come upon another, one who has taken up the task of forgiveness as I have. We walk together, casting darkness out, letting light shine... You Cannot Find the Divine With the Light From Another. Light Your Own Way

Jhn 1:9 [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. Each of us is light. Each of us can light the way to the Divine. And it is up to each of us to do just that – follow our light. He who follows the light of another however, will soon lose his way. For each light illuminates one particular path, one particular direction back to the Divine. Following the light of another is impossible, for their light shines brightly only for them. It casts brightly on most... Sign in to see full entry.

Illusion: Nothing We See is as it Seems

I look out upon the beauty of the desert and am humbled. While others may see red rock, saguaros and palos verdes, I see nothing but illusion. For each saguaro is not a cactus, each palos verdes not a tree. Nothing is as it seems. The illusion of this reality is that every desert plant and rock, each snake and scorpion, the mountains and the desert streams are separate. Each is but a sign of the divine, an expression of infinite love incarnate. When we can understand the oneness and love of this... Sign in to see full entry.

One's Thoughts Give Reality Form

The next installment of Thursday's With Death: I had fallen asleep in the La-Z-Boy and when I awoke, Death was still snoring away. As I looked at him, I was amazed at what I saw. Death now had a solid head and body. He was actually kind of good looking, in a death-warmed-over kind of way. Actually, he was pretty handsome. He had long, dark hair, solid black eye brows, and a moustache reminiscent of D'Artagnan, of Three Muskateers fame. I reached out and poked his leg again, making sure that I... A Pledge to Respect All Believers and Non-believers

I came across the following pledge on the Religioustolerance.org website. It was written anonymously by a Christian and a Buddhist. And while I like the approach, it didn’t quite cut it for me. While it did try to take into account any and all religions/spiritual practices, it did not account for those who have no belief in a “God” of any kind. Since I have friends and acquaintances who are atheists and are very good and moral people, I wanted to try to include them in this pledge as well. I... Sign in to see full entry.

Atomic Objects Are Both Waves and Particles - Depending on Observation

In Genesis, “God” acts upon the void and creates heaven and earth. Another way of describing this is to say that Consciousness, with intent, acted upon the void and created the universe as we see it today. If we look at quantum physics, we can see the same phenomenon occurring all of the time. From a quantum physics perspective, an atomic object is both wave-like and particle-like (see Thomas Young’s double slit experiment). The decision to be a wave or a particle by the atomic object is... Sign in to see full entry.

Consciousness and the Material World are not Separate. They are One

I was reading an article last night by Dr. Fed Alan Wolf, a former professor of physics at San Diego State University. He is the author of several books, including Taking the Quantum Leap and Matter into Feeling: A New Alchemy of Science and Spirit. The article was a transcript of an interview he gave titled The Soul and Quantum Physics, and I wanted to share some interesting tidbits from that interview. First, in order to put these tidbits into context, you need to understand a bit about... Sign in to see full entry.

How Can Subatomic Particles Great Distances Apart Communicate Instantly?

Ciel reminded me of one of my favorite books in an earlier post of hers. It's a book by Michael Talbot called the Holographic Universe. This book explores the possibilities that the universe is nothing but a giant hologram. The hologram, a three-dimensional picture of something made with the aid of a laser, is a unique discovery. Not only does it give a three-dimensional view of an object (you can literally see all sides of something that is a hologram, unlike a two-dimensional photograph), but... Sign in to see full entry.

Tuning Into Other Realities Allows for Communication to Occur

The next installment of Thursdays With Death: “Uurrppppp!” Death belched after inhaling the last of my Krispy Kremes. Stretched out on my bed, Death was sucking the ends of each boney-like appendage, savoring that special Krispy Kreme glaze. I decided I needed a better explanation about all of these dreams of death I had been having. “So help me to understand what is happening to me,” I said to Death. “I’m dreaming more about dead people because I am more in tune with that reality?” Death...
