Clean ‘em out…down and quiet!

Quite another form of ballet on dirt. Last weekend we spent at a radio control car race. It is part of a series in the Pacific Northwest and this round was the Hank Perry 240 held at a track in Spokane Valley. The cars varied from the two-wheel drive electric buggies to the rip-snorting gas powered... Sign in to see full entry.

Outdoor wizardry.

Ricky Carmichael is magic on a dirt bike it seems. At Hangtown he swept both motos beating the best hands down. Mt. Morris was a repeat although he had to push hard to catch and finally pass a blazingly fast James Stewart. Already the whispers of another perfect season are passing the lips of the... Good dirty fun.

The AMA outdoor nationals journey cross country to Mt. Morris Pennsylvania and the legendary High-Point race facility. If one is a fan of the red-head on the yellow bike, the season is off to a good start. If you would like to see someone else besides Ricky win, don’t hold your breath. James Stewart... RC hangs ‘em high in Hangtown.

The full story isn’t in yet on the outcome of the first round of the outdoor AMA national motocross series but the lap charts tell a story that needs details. Ricky Carmichael continued his domination in the wide open spaces by sweeping the day’s two motos in the 250 class aboard his Suzuki RM450F... Sign in to see full entry.

Motocross goes outside to play.

The outdoor season begins next weekend at the Glen Helen track in California. Glen Helen is monumentally challenging with torturous uphills, breathtaking downhills and some nasty off-camber turns that mountain goats avoid. If you have been watching Supercross, motocross is a whole different... Sign in to see full entry.

NaPalm Racing sidelined.

Two practice crashes and foreboding weather have caused us to cancel our plans to compete in the last round of the Spring Survivor Series at our local track in Airway Heights, WA. We didn’t survive. Now that NaPalm Racing has the CNC milling machine up and running, Nathan is more interested in... Sign in to see full entry.

The Las Vegas Supercross, dirtiest show in town.

First I must admit I haven’t watched the race yet due to a VCR error, I forgot to program it, that Mother’s Day thing and all. It will be re-broadcast on May 17 th on ESPN. SXGP.com has the results and Davey Coombs gives his report at racerxill.com if you want to hear about Chad Reed’s victory and... Sign in to see full entry.

Motocross starts with M and so does Mom.

What do Moms have to do with motocross? They are motocross. Every racer under the age of sixteen (and that could vary) has to have a legal guardian sign the waiver in order to race or to even attend a race. Face it, Moms usually have the last say when giving their blessings to a youngster to... Sign in to see full entry.

Of thumpers and tiddlers.

Thumpers. Tiddlers. Spodes. What do these terms have to do with motocross? They are motocross. Thumpers is the popular nickname for 4-stroke single cylinder motorcycles. With the advent of the 4-stroke several years ago, thumpers became part of the motocross lexicon and presently there is only one... Sign in to see full entry.

Houston, the Bubba has landed.

The AMA/THQ Supercross series round at Houston is now history and what a history it is. The 125 west round saw Andrew Short taking the win after being hotly pursued by a blazing fast Broc Hepler. Broc went down and had to suffer the insult of trying to start a stalled 4-stroke, never any fun. Billy... Sign in to see full entry.
