Houston, we have Supercross!

At this time qualifiers are probably being run as the AMA Supercross series winds down with two races to go, Houston Texas and Las Vegas Nevada. The 125 West class has already crowned Ivan Tedesco season points champion but there are still laps to race and a scrap for number two will ensue, with the... Sign in to see full entry.

A Sunday Under Motocross Skies.

The day dawned with a clear blue sky, the only “clouds” visible were the criss-crossing contrails of two passing jetliners forming an X in the sky, time for Moto-X. My son, Nathan’s practice went fine, the track was in near perfect shape and only a little muddy from the rains the evening before.... Sign in to see full entry.

Napalm Racing doing dirt.

It was a good day to be at the track. Nathan rode well, improving his lap times a little on each outing and only had one off-track incident when he got pushed out on the first turn and bent the shift lever on a tire protecting a buried sprinkler. A few well placed kicks and the lever was back in... Sign in to see full entry.

Hello Race fans.

It will be trackside for old F4T this weekend as the Ballet on Dirt gets up close and personal with the world of motocross racing. Two weeks ago we froze our butts off, waking up each morning to frost on windshields. This weekend the AMA Thundercross 4-stroke series comes to town so it should be a... Sign in to see full entry.

The raining champion.

The battle in Seattle turned into a mud fest as dirt bikes made their premier appearance in Qwest stadium to tackle a rain soaked track. The rains had stopped at race time turning the track into a rutted mess. In 1999 I watched Larry Ward win the last ever race in the Kingdome. In 2005 Larry Ward... Sign in to see full entry.

Supercross + Silverdome = Gold.

Pontiac, Michigan - pure excitement for dirt bike junkies. The best weekend yet in the AMA/THQ Supercross series. The 125 class had 5 riders very close in points in the Eastern division. At the drop of the gate Joaquim Rodriguez (not a contender, just a talented rider) took the hole-shot and the... Sign in to see full entry.

Supercross returns to the Emerald City.

It will be a battle in Seattle. Ok, so I’m not to first one to use that phrase but it’s nonetheless true. James Stewart, Ricky Carmichael and Chad Reed are set to have a go at it in the Pacific North West. So close I can almost smell the 2-stroke oil. I have only been to one Supercross and that was... Quality time.

The old motocross reporter returns to his desk. James Stewart won his first 250 Supercross in Dallas two weeks ago, something we fans knew was going to happen sooner or later. It was a cliffhanger with Chad Reed actually gaining on the youngster until Reed’s front wheel washed out on the last lap... Sign in to see full entry.

Chad Reed for the lead.

The 250 class at Orlando proved to be the race everyone has been waiting to see but the outcome was far from predictable. James Stewart beat Ricky Carmichael in their qualifier and looked set to repeat the feat in the main event. James missed getting the hole shot by half a wheel and promptly took... Grant Langston, ouch!

Orlando Florida may be close to Disney World but Grant probably didn’t enjoy the ride his Kawasaki gave him in the 125 qualifier. He came up short on a triple and did a big-time endo only to have other riders mow him down as he tried to get his bike out of the way. When it was over four riders were...
