Speaking of the Salvation Army . . .
The Salvation Army is pretty much the only Christian organization I know of that is actually attempting to do what Christ allegedly taught us in the Gospels. During the recent visit of hurricane Isabel to the Hampton Roads, VA vicinity, a number of smaller churches were active in the community, and the newspapers covered their efforts and announced their services to those in need because of the storm.
