Chaplains in Battle Areas and Aboard Ship

Generally do not have a "Church Building" to conduct services. In the field, a service may be held in a bombed out building, in a field, or in a mess tent. To quote one of the commentators to this blog, "Does it really matter?" It seems one of the main characters in the New Testament merely said, "Wherever two or three shall be gathered together in my name, there shall I be also..."
