That's MY yucky fruit juice!

I'm coming down with a cold, and I've been feeling a bit under the weather the last few days. Mark, the big sweetie, stopped at the store on his way home and got me a jug of my "getting sick" fruit juice, to make me feel better. It's really pretty nasty tasting juice. But it's full of good stuff... Sign in to see full entry.

It'll fit just fine - all we have to do is knock out a wall or two!

We got a new fridge yesterday. Or rather, I got a new fridge. Normally all major appliance purchases are something that Mark and I do together. But I'm an adult - there's no reason I can't make a decision about a fridge all by myself! My aunt and uncle just moved into a new house that came with all... Sign in to see full entry.

Turn those lights OFF!

Mark smashed his finger at work last week, and it was hurting him pretty bad last night. It's not broken or anything, just...well, smooshed. He'll probably end up losing the nail, but it's not the end of the world. To listen to him go on about it, you'd think he needed an amputation - men can be... Sign in to see full entry.

To be, or not to be...wait, what was the question again??

I've been many things in my life. Daughter, sister, friend, wife...the list goes on and on. Lately I've been asking myself "what's left?". 25 is the age where most people are trying to "find themselves", turning away from their party lives and starting to seriously consider what they plan to do with... The Ugly Picture Wars

The front room is my favourite room in the house. It's where I work. It's my space. I spend most of the day in that room. It's where I find inspiration, comfort and a sense of peace. I've spent a long time getting it just the way I want it. Each picture, each piece of furniture, every decorative... Sign in to see full entry.

If I had behaved like that in public, there would have been hell to pay!

Well, I survived my trip to the grocery store. There were no arguments, thank goodness. I didn't even have to stand in line - apparently early in the morning is the best time to shop! I did however, start to notice a rather disturbing trend. There were quite a few kids shopping with their mothers,... Sign in to see full entry.

Cleaning out the fridge AND the drains, all in one step!

Mark came home last night to find me standing in the bathroom, dumping yogurt down the drain. "We have a perfectly good garbage can, you know." he says, shaking his head. I'm sure he's convinced he married a crazy person. But yogurt is full of bacteria, especially once it's past it's expiry date.... Sign in to see full entry.

You can't buy a car just because it has a sunroof!

My sister hasn't always been the most responsible person. Over the years, she's made some pretty bad decisions, and landed herself in some pretty hairy situations. My parents have always been there to bail her out, although I've told them numerous times that she'll never learn if they don't let her... Sign in to see full entry.

Even the Government does something right now and then!

I opened a savings bond account last year, thinking it would be nice to cash it in for some extra spending money for christmas (yes, I know it's still to early for Christmas!). Since it's a bond program run by the government, I didn't have overly high hopes for it. They're not usually known for... Sign in to see full entry.

Don't make me get arrested!

I called the local prison yesterday. It's a maximum security place, about 45 minutes from my house. I wanted to see if it would be possible to take a look around (with a guarded escort, of course) just so I could get a feel for what it's actually like in there. It's not a morbid curiosity or...
