Hi Chyrlann,

Shoving a watermelon out your nose is the only thing I can think that would compare to giving birth - an experience that I've heard is the most painful thing anyone could ever go through!

Don't get me wrong, I've taken my fair share of smacks in the head! But I was extremely driven, even as a young kid, so I refused to let them slow me down. I've realized now that I should have slowed down when I had the choice, instead of plowing through life like a crazed woman - but there's nothing like a melt down to force you to take a closer look at your life! I accomplished a lot, but there was a pretty high price to pay!

Writing has been my one real passion since I was old enough to hold a pencil, but it's only recently that I've had a chance to actually get serious about it. I think it's going to remain a major part of my life from now on!

A puppy's a fantastic idea, we'll have to make a trip to the local shelters!

Thanks for the comment, and the lovely compliments!

Hey, hello. I enjoyed reading your write! The watermellon through the

nostrils statement was painful though. Wow, you've gone through life in a forward momentum. Most of us oddities fly backwards. Life hits us in the tail feathers and we spend the next twenty five years doing the backstroke. I like this pondering thought. What else is there to do when everything goes according to plan...lol, I'm baffled, nothing has ever! Maybe it was because there was no plan other than get married, have babies and not in that order and not necessarily planned either! It's what hits you in the back of the head when you're not looking that makes life the most interesting.

I raised the babies without the husband(s) while climbing the corporate ladder, sort of the all-in-one package deal. The meltdown began in '03 and has just recently froze to solidity. Now I'm asking the same questions you are. Life has a way of eventually evening things out.

Gorsh, with the love of your life and life lying like an open door before you, I'd say grab the golden ring and do anything your heart desires. If Mark wants babies and you're not ready get him a puppy to raise or borrow some babies once in awhile from a friend or a relative. That'll keep Mark happy borrowing and returning. There's ooddles of couples out there looking for temporary repreive.

You're a great writer so that certainly would be rewarding and you're making a great contribution here participating and sharing. I would say the greatest rewards in life come from helping others any way we can.

A little late with the welcome wagon, but welcome!
