A Little Frustrated

I am being unreasonable, and I know it. But I am still frustrated. I want so much to get things in my home organized, cleaned up, and put away. But things keep interfering. I had planned to fold one stack of clothes every night before bed. I have one hour a night of time for housework and similar... Sign in to see full entry.

What a Fun Sunday!

Well, after church, I went for my "date" with Grandma. On the way, I stopped at Abuelo's for some soup and enchiladas, because I slept too late to get breakfast before my rehearsal at church. (I'm singing a solo in about three weeks.) So I was very hungry! Grandma and I went to Goodwill and I got a... Sign in to see full entry.

Today I Gave New Meaning to the Phrase "Shop Til You Drop"!

Well, I got my exercise today! The kids and I left the house at 9 a.m., went to Le Creperie for breakfast crepes, and then went shopping. We quit at 6:30 and stopped in to visit my grandma -- didn't get home until nearly 8! Let's see, we went to Sacks 2 for Kids and got some shorts and dress shirts... Sign in to see full entry.

Almost Debt Free!

I have just paid off two more credit cards, bringing my unsecured debt down from $23,000 last June to only $9,500 as of today! That is a huge weight off my mind and spirit, I can tell you. If I can maintain the current payoff amount each month (about $1125), I will be out of debt by the end of... Sign in to see full entry.

What a Life!

I have been SO busy the last few weeks! My ex and I tossed the visitation schedule for June and July like a salad because I had a number of things come up that would keep me from spending time with the kids on their weekends with me, and some other things came up that the kids wanted to do.... Things Our Mamas Taught Us....

Yeah, it came in my e-mail, but it's a good one to think about. I've said a lot of these to my kids... have you? 1. My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE. "If you're going to kill each other, do it outside." 2. My mother taught me RELIGION. "You better pray that'll come out of the... Sign in to see full entry.

About Mothers ...

Somebody said that it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've had a baby... Somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, normal is history. Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct... Somebody never took a three-year-old shopping. Somebody said being a mother is... Sign in to see full entry.

Things Mom Really Doesn't Want to Hear

The first few came in my e-mail, but I've edited the list and added a few of my own to make it fit my life a little better. The things a single mom doesn't want to hear are a little different from the things a married mom doesn't want to hear. Sometimes. I swallowed the goldfish. Your lipstick works... I just want my readers to know...

that I am still alive. I've had four solid weeks of special projects/disaster at work, and I'm still running on about 5 hours of sleep a night. Once life calms itself, I will be back to posting daily in all of my blogs. Sign in to see full entry.

Getting Caught Up

Things are beginning to come into order in our lives. The house is beginning to stay "put-together" during the week, and I'm beginning to see progress in some of the long-term projects that I have been wanting to complete. I've still got a ways to go. There's still a huge pile of laundry to fold,... Sign in to see full entry.
