An Eventful Week

And a stressful one. On Monday afternoon, my insurance rep said that he had been unable to contact the guy who hit me or to get in contact with him through his insurance company. It began to look as though he might as well have driven on... as I thought he was going to. I was busy trying to... Sign in to see full entry.

A New Wrinkle in the Wreck

It seems that the guy who hit me gave me false information regarding his insurance coverage. My claim rep called the phone number that the guy gave me --- disconnected. He fixed the area code to match the guy's address and called that number --- no luck. He called the insurance company and was told... Sign in to see full entry.

Another Wreck!

Okay, I've decided that my car must have an invisible "Hit Me" sign on it. I was rear-ended again today. This time, I was driving with my mom to a curriculum fair in a town about 80 miles from where we live. We were just getting on the road good, and we were talking about something. I'm an obsessive... Clearly Psycho

The response to my "I hate you" the other day was a non-response. Not a squeak about that. But in the same message, I asked him to stop introducing himself as my husband. I told him that it was a lie for him to say "my wife, Editormum." And he says that according to the laws of the country, he is... Sign in to see full entry.

He Made Me Do It!

Well, my ex finally made me mad enough to tell him the bald, honest truth. I told him I hate him. He keeps writing me these messages to tell me how much he loves me, how much he misses me, and all this sentimental tripe, and he keeps introducing himself to my friends and acquaintances as... Still Dealing With the Fallout

and I think I found a grey hair today. The kids and I are still having trouble waking up in the mornings, and mom tells me that they are taking really long, deep afternoon naps. I guess they, and I, are just recharging our sleep-deprived batteries. The boys are kind of grumpy / touchy with each... Sign in to see full entry.

Wacky Weekend

I spent a lot of this weekend in dumbfounded amazement and completely speechless. This was a three-day weekend that the kids spent with my ex, as he had visitation scheduled and he gets Independence Day in odd years. He came to pick them up on Saturday morning. On Friday night, the kids and I went... Sign in to see full entry.

Can't Win for Losing

So now my fridge/freezer is out. I thought it was just the ice-maker that was broken, so I've just been putting ice into the bin and using it that way for about two weeks. But it's not just the ice-maker... it's the whole appliance. It cools... sort of. But all the ice cream melted, and the ice that... Sign in to see full entry.

Officially Middle-Aged

If we accept "threescore years and ten" as the normal life-span for the human being, then I am officially middle-aged today. I have completed my thirty-sixth year of life, and I now embark on year thirty-seven. So I have passed the halfway point in the seventy-year normal lifespan. I feel strange... Why I Obsess Over the Unfolded Clothes

Talion rightly pointed out in a comment to my post from yesterday that the unfolded laundry is really insignificant in the scheme of things, and that the things I have been doing are more important than whether the clothes got folded. On one level, this is very true. Taking my kids to this weekend's... Sign in to see full entry.
