The Kite Runner A book, I finished just hours ago after starting it Friday evening after our Shabbat meal, it has had a profound effect on me. I cried for Amir, for Hassan and most of all for the boy that is Hassan’s son. Amir’s nephew who he brings to America and adopts with his wife. Khaled Hosseini is a superb writer who cuts into his character’s deeper thoughts and dissects the flaws that are common to us all.
