THE Madonna?
I wasn't sure whether to place this in the religion section or humor - but it does have an element of religion, so here goes. Orthodox Jewish Kids Learning Arabic
Yesterday, I read an interesting piece in the NY Times which featured a Jewish High School where many kids from my city study. A few years ago, students requested that the school teach a course in Arabic along with French, Spanish and Hebrew, and the school complied. Why did the kids want to learn a language associated more with "the other side?" To spy? To use it against them? Not at all.
