Nature's Autumn collection
They stand clothed in summer finery lushly attired. When the season changes So do they; shedding green skirts Swinging full and easy with the breezes to multi coloured gowns That sparkle and catch the lights of night and day Rain or sunshine to dance To winter's edge When they shed their finest garments To stand shivering their scrawny limbs Await the advent of new greenery to cloak their nakedness with fashion's whimsical fancy. ©Ilana Leeds May 2008 Sign in to see full entry.
