Driving snow
I did drive Charlie out to the game site after all. The afternoon never got above the 20s, and when we left the house around 3:30, a few flakes were flying in the air. By the time we reached Elbert Road, the last 18-mile stretch before the camp, snow was blowing across the pavement and fog was getting thick. Mostly, until the last few miles, though, the pavement was clear. Cattle still grazed in the fields alongside the road, and there sides were frosted with snow. What really blew me away was...
