More Anglos are marrying Mexicans this week and more mixed babies

grace the arms of their happy parents all over town. What a racial and religious hodge podge America is. Lovely, wonderful, open minded and experimental and sometimes politically correct America. Tucson is special, except for the newcomers who have to take the time to learn how we get along around here..... I attended the wedding of a converted Mexican girl and her converted husband, who were marrying in the mosque at the U of A. God bless us, every one. Sign in to see full entry.

Wait til the stories come in from the China Olympics !

My friend and fellow artist lives periodically in China amongst the working poor and his stories are hysterically funny, if you don't have to live his life. He had me laughing my head off this week as he retold his life in China as he worked with factories over there getting his artwork reproduced. He likes his co-workers and could sincerely do stand up comedy on the subject. However, everyone going to the Olympics will have to breathe that yummy air, look up into that sunless opaque gray sky,... Sign in to see full entry.

Thank God for the manic part of manic depression. I get things done.

All the cactus and bamboo cuttings are gone, except for the new bamboo cuttings done today. I dismantled the "ghetto fencing" solution which I had rigged to keep the idiot dog, Mosinha, inside the garden. I thought of a solution and then tried to make it happen. My drill was not up to the job. I rented a big drill, using the 3/16ths bit for the 3/16ths mortar screws and the screws were too thin and the bit too fat. I went to Home Depot and traded the 3/16ths screws for 1/4s and came home. The... Sign in to see full entry.

Grandma's world is a penniless one...so, adieu for awhile...

Received payment for various jobs and they weren't enough to keep all the juggled balls in the air. So, I dropped the internet ball and it will be cancelled today sometime and it always takes me about ten days to get it back. Shall miss my writing outlet and guess I'll have to resort to pen and paper and family communications only. Back soon, enshallah. Sign in to see full entry.

Grandma has been overworking. I filled one entire huge debris trailer

all by myself. I have really groomed the property this past month. So, today, when the landlord stopped by to see whether I had finished filling the trailer, I picked up the final two garbage cans of cactus after loading all leftover bamboo debris. My hands are sliced with razor bamboo shoots. My knuckles ache with arthritis, ants attacked me on my legs and I am wearing Isotoner gloves to bed for my hands relief, and they really work in reducing this hellish pain. So, today, I am on youtube,... Sign in to see full entry.

Grandma's World has a headache the size of Australia right now.

Digging in boxes under tables on the back porch, wallowing in dust and spider webs and mold from the rains, gave me a sinus headache that four pills of various responsibilities have failed to change. Maybe the wine at my friend's house will make me not care. No, forgot, I have wine allergies and will get a slight headache from drinking my glass of Vino Verde from Portugal. I hope that I win the lottery. Dunno why I said that. Maybe so that I can live somewhere without spider webs and dust and... Sign in to see full entry.

Grandma has gone into another nu nu nu nu, nu nu nu nu world.

I was perusing the Think Geek store, I think it was, and they were offering a Wi-Fi detecting shirt. The t-shirt had the Wi Fi logo on the front and the waves emanating from the tower move when the shirt detects a WiFi area. How cool is that? The wonderful young geek that I was speaking to on the phone at that moment said that he probably couldn't use that shirt but could envision when a t-shirt would have a picture on it, or video or somesuch and THAT would appear only in the WiFi zones....how... I knew that coffee was bad for me...but I love it so.

I have been getting so much done around here again. I get up at dawn and cut and gather dead bamboo, piling it high in the back garden. Then, when neighbors are up and around in the light, I turn on my reciprocating saw and start the real party. If you could see the front of my house today with approximately one ton of nopal cactus on the ground. The drought this year is killing everything that is not super water indulged. You MUST turn on the hose, walk away for awhile and let it soak the... Sign in to see full entry.

I have a tici tici tic in my left eye and sometimes one in my right.

I think, suspect that I might be overdoing something, but just which thing is the overdone one is hard to tell, as so many things feel unfinished and awaiting my attention. I just might need some counselling about priorities and obsessions. But, just which ones to talk about in sessions, I am not sure about how to choose. I decided to get out of debt. HA!! So, I followed the money, painting acrylic pictures as they seem to sell at about one or two a week this month. Then I remembered that the... Sign in to see full entry.

Too cute hamster that makes me cry over the mice in my house.

On a good day, I would capture them all and put them in cages and then feed them forever, but they are all over the house and garden. Mosinha keeps catching them. Sigh...... Here is the too cute baby hamster eating his first broccoli. I hear my mice gnawing on dog food pellets at night. http://video.yahoo.com/watch/2253641/7101161&cache=1 Sign in to see full entry.
