Thanks everyone. I was judged the best art teacher ever, by the crowd.

We made little penguins which stood on carrot circles, cut to resemble a pie minus one slice. The one slice, tucked into an olive's hole, formed the beak. We made them out of black olives, sliced open the big tummy of the biggest olive and stuffed it with cream cheese to be his white tummy. The whole thing was skewered onto a tooth pick. So, feet, cheese stuffed tummy, head with beak. They made lots and ate them all.

Other things. Much to eat.

They'll absolutely love it and emerge covered from head to toe in red, green, yellow icing... happy days.

What a darling idea.  I hope you do not mind if I copy your idea while my grandchildren are here.  I think even the teenagers will have fun doing that.
