Night in San Juan

Puerto Rico was the first stop of the cruise. To my dismay we arrived at 6pm, when the sun started to set and only had 3 hours! I had looked much forward to the walking tour around old San Juan as scheduled by the museum. Walk we did, in the pitch balck dark. But, making the best of circumstances, I... I can't wait...

Unpacked, shopping done, laundry done and "beautification" reserved for later, I couldn't wait to get started on the pictures. It's also therapy to overcome the bad part of the trip, because as I look at, select anbd edit the pictures, the lovely things I have seen come flooding back and with it the... Home sweet home!

I think I have never appreciated my little castle in the sky as mauch as I did a few hours ago when I finally was off the cruise hip from hell nad back in Miami. of course, the final straw was that I didn't know how to get back from Fort Lauderdale to Miami. I had come with my desaster of a room... Sign in to see full entry.

Following your advice

First I just need to tell you how much it means that you are in spirit with me on this trip from hell. We are about to dock in Nassau and as I know my way around there very well, I'll just have myself a good old time. As far as writing is concerned, I'll put all the experiences, exactly as they have... Sign in to see full entry.

This is my life line

I didn't think it could get any worse, but it did. I told you my cabin mate was quite nice....how wrong can a person be. Two days and nights were ok, but on the 3rd morning she exploded. Told me she needs her sleep and can't have me get up early in the morning (when the sun comes up and the ship is... Sign in to see full entry.

I came close to walking off...

I have moaned enough about the ship as such, but the organisation by the museum isn't any better either. Imagine that: arriving at San Juan de Puerto Rico at 5pm just when it gets dark, then going on a walking tour in the pitch black dark and leaving at midnight. Today St. Thomas, again terribly bad... Oh my, oh my

I got cabin fever. Can't wait for the ship to reach San Juan which will be at 5pm. Then we have a tour around town and at midnight it's the high seas again for St. Thomas. One glance at the hairy chests and I ran... but of course a good journalsit has to experience everything. If I learn one thing... Sign in to see full entry.

Hi from the high seas

Here I am ploughing the ocean on the way to Puerto Rico and yes they do have internet so I can keep in touch. Everything is totally different from what I had expected, but nevertheless I'm having a balst. That has a lot to do with the lady I share my cabin with. Until yesterday I didn't know her at... My attempt at self promotion

The things one does to try and become a "name"! It's a story in itself. Today, I tucked a copy of my novel Sweet Revenge under my arm and made my way to a bookshop in Lincoln's road to see if I could persuade them to put a few copies on their shelves. I'm sure you, like me, don't have a clue about... Sign in to see full entry.

Vogue is in luck.

After I have successfully located where that cruise ship actually sails from, I have been lucky again with regard to getting there. I am sharing the cabin with a lady whom I have never met in person. But she is a museum member, seems very nice on the phone and lives in Coconut Grove, which is not... Sign in to see full entry.
