Blantant self-promotion, a postive attitude and never giving up are all

that it takes to succeed, I suspect. And some luck.

One lady made it to the Best Sellers' List by doing just what you are doing.

Get ahold of the book Guerilla Marketing and do what it says. They may have one specifically for writers. If not, buy one used at abebooks.com.........

I used it for my one business and it became the most well known in my state........

The library has a book called Book Yourself Solid, and you could do that, give talks, etc.

You are a fascinating and cosmopolitan woman and that is rare enough. It will all help you to sell yourself, ie, your book.

Re: taps and azur
thanks for the great advice. I will follow it and display some copies 'casually' in strategic places.

Cruise ships have very nice libraries.  Maybe you could put some of your books in strategic places there.  People on cruise ships look around in the libraries but often don't take time to read whole books because there are so many other things to do.  But, perhaps they will make note to buy the book when the cruise is over.

I love it. One cannot expect someone to come knock on the door and ask, "Have you ever written a book?" But they will remember you have after this turn of events or should I say attitudes. Good luck.

Take some on the cruise. Put in gift store there
People are often after reading matter on vacation, and forget to get something.

Ask if you can give a talk on board, with coffee one morning.
