different blurb

Pets are cheap. Beautiful, intelligent, loyal pets, who arch into the lash and beg to be ridden hard are not so cheap. Alix was a simple musician, a delicate man with hair the color a blue sky and eyes full of life and curiosity, who had no desire to be taken by the 'gods'. Captain Tristan Yarril... a blurb

okay, all you highly cool writer persons! How does this sound for a blurb for my new series from Venus Press? The Pet It was sacrilege. It couldn’t be done. Alix and Tristan locked the world out, their vision locked within the world that only their shared, even on the dance floor of Her Majesty's... Sign in to see full entry.

Children and Characters

by Nix Winter Children and characters Have got some nerve They toss you smiles Like they'll never leave you But then you've got plots holes And bills for dorm rooms They fritter away your sleep With dishwashers on at six in the morning And banks robbed at two Love for them aches tears down my face... Writing long hand

So I work in a call center and between calls, during calls, words etch out onto paper, a stamping horse hoof, a bit of ruby red hair and violet eyes, the desparate bad guy stalking the bard who lives in my imagination, story that I so wish I could stay up and write, but I have to go to work... shutting the world out

Somehow, I remembering it being easier before, but it probably wasn't. The world is like a cage of squealing rats, demanding this, requiring that, when all I want to do is write. I think I used to know how to fail to listen to them. Maybe it's that my kids are nearly grown now, and I fear I'll stop... Sign in to see full entry.

a break

I'm taking a break from blogit for November for NaNoWiMo. There was that lovely person who wrote me because they liked my stories and joined blogit because of that. If you're that person, email me, and I'll shower you with lots of story! Thanks! Nix Sign in to see full entry.

The Right Thing

I have been whining excessively about what to write and how to succeed lately. I have come to the conclusion that stories should come from the heart. They shouldn’t be written like a one does a memo at work, thinking only of what will get one a raise. I’m not a literary prostitute. I am a story... Sign in to see full entry.

winter bread

Consistently putting up good writing. Ack! Only now do I realize how very hard that is. I so much want to work on my Winter Bread story, but I am not sure what the threat/antagonist should be. I want the main character to make a big transition, from childhood to adulthood. To cross that line from... Sign in to see full entry.

voice

Where’s my voice? Why am I so afraid? Longing for love and companionship, Longing for someone to write with More than sex That’s what I want Someone to write with Someone to share the worlds in my head with This journal has become my journal, more than the journal of my writing. Fear is the great... Sign in to see full entry.
