On our 4 day road trip up to the hot spot of the North Island, we visited two of the hottest: the steaming ground of mud pits and weird primeval scenes, and Mt Ruapehu which was anything but hot: the ski season opened the next day! The file contains over 550 images, and my eyes are feeling very red and teary with overdoing. But the pictures look so much better, and I love to see them pop from hazy and distacting surroundings, and become something evocative of feeling.
