What the hell is happening to America?

I recently wrote a post about China running a port in California. To me this is upsetting. But no one on blogit commented. I was slightly stunned. Stunned because I believe that what is happening in our country, the United States, is important and very disturbing. We seem to be leaping backwards while other countries are striding past us. Our education system is not working for all parts of our country. Our econonmy is not good, leaving the gap between middle class and poverty ever bigger. What the hell is going on? Is this the new world order that Daddy Bush was trying to achieve during his Presidency? The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer and lost? It seems to be true.. look at New Orleans... sure they just had Mardi Gras, that is the rich did! The poor are not even there, and if they are they are just trying to survive moment to moment. This is America and it looks like a third world country down there.... What the hell is going on?

It Takes Two To Have Sex......... Doesn't It

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my belief is strong

I say, I thought that's what's we were suppose to

Do create an opportunity, then take advantage, so

How the hell am I responsible for the damage

Forget the fact that I got here by pretending to

Care, causing pain and anguish, that's all I seem

To hear, can't y'all find another to try and make

Me  understand it

Of course it's relevant!

Sorry for the delay on this response, to:

You have previously voiced the concern, "...I'm really wondering if anyone's actually reading anything", which is why we posted a link to the Blogit Help page on increasing your readership.

If the link is not relevant to your concern, then please ignore it.

Thank you.

And I must further apologize about being vague.  By "I'm really wondering if anyone's actually reading anything," I meant that I was wondering about the ratio of clicking to reading, meaning, when a blog is clicked, how often is it read? The value of a user's "readership" is measured only by how many clicks he receives; there is no actual way to see if the blog was read.

This is further proved by some general comments that are out there, like, "Interesting."

See what I mean?

Thanks for the response.

I appreciate the consideration... but that wasn't really my principal concern, was it?  But I guess that's precisely the sort of inhuman response I should have expected.

Down with Fees!

Everybody read my blog and contribute your 1/100 of a penny to my account!

Fuck that.

I propose a new site.  And maybe I should keep it to myself and start it on my own.

But here goes.

I propose a site that lets artists enter based on the merit of their work.  No fees.  Weed out the bads.  Like the MFA world.  Out with the bloggers, in with the writers.  Aye?

Comments?

Anyone?

Hello?

It's our chance for happiness and prosperity.

And look, there it goes!
