Wonderful day; not much time to write

It has been a most wonderful day. We had clear skies all day long with a high of 65. The low this morning was 41. It started cool, but it was very nice after the sun came up. Days like this are what I enjoy the most. I did go to work for a few hours. I think making the effort is what the company... Sign in to see full entry.

First Friday of year; cool; bloggers calmer; Yates’ yikes!

We are here at the first Friday of the new year. I thought this week would be terrible, but it has not been that bad. The week passed much faster than I thought it would. I wanted to work more and I thought that would be bad, but it really has not been. I thought my new diet would make me cranky and... Sign in to see full entry.

Much cooler; eating better; other ramblings

After a good nights sleep we wake this morning, here in the great state of Texas, with some much cooler temps. We have 39.9 ◦ right now. This is a little lower than predicted and I think it will go down another degree or so. The wind is blowing from the NNE at 13 mph. So it is much cooler than we... Sign in to see full entry.

Nice to be back in routine; cold front due; to work early again

We have a cold front due to move through the area today. It will cool things down just a bit. Right now we have 67 ◦ and cloudy skies and muggy conditions. Our relative humidity is 75%. We have a 30% chance of rain today and about that same chance for the next week or so. It does not feel like... Sign in to see full entry.

Muggy; word count from 2004; busting into work mode

Today in Texas begins muggy again. The temperature is 67 ◦ and we have a relative humidity of 75%. That is warm and sticky. We have about a 30% chance of rain today and for the next few days. We have much moisture streaming into our area from the Pacific. Even though a “cold” front will push through... Sign in to see full entry.

Back to work; muggy; into routine again!

It is a very warm and muggy morning. The temperature is 69 ◦. That is much too warm for this time of year. The high should not even make that. Today’s high will be near 80 and we will stay cloudy and muggy all day long. We have a chance for some rain, but it won’t rain a lot if it does rain. I... Sign in to see full entry.

How dumb can you play?; still warm; NFL today

I wake up on another warm and muggy Texas winter morning. It is 68 ◦ this morning with clouds and no wind. We will hit a high in the upper 70’s today with a slight chance of rain and not much sun. I don’t really like it this warm, but it’s better than the opposite of being too cold. LSU lost on the... Sign in to see full entry.

Football; parades; leisurely day on tap!

This morning began great. It is warm and mostly cloudy. We have 65◦ at this time. It was that temp when we woke up. It will stay cloudy for the day and our high should reach the mid 70’s. That’s a bit warm for this time of year, but it’s better than the cold we had last week. We had one of our last... Sign in to see full entry.

Had a great lunch; nice rest; saved seeds; Kisz beer

Today has been great. The niece, K, and I had a great day together. We bonded real well. She is getting better by the day. I can not believe how much I am beginning to fall in love with her. The more we go along the more I care for her. I loved her before, but this is off the scale. She is such a... Sign in to see full entry.

Last day of year; still warm; no big plans

This is the last day of the year. I have had great year writing. I will summarize the whole deal tomorrow and write down how many words I wrote and things such as that. I had a goal of 60,000 words per month and I met that even though some things changed during the year that made it harder for me to... Sign in to see full entry.
