Group lunch good; warmed-up during night; etc.

It warmed up a few degrees during the night. That was nice. The temperature right now is 50◦ and it is cloudy. The forecast low was 38 or so. I will take that missed forecast. We should have glorious weather through Christmas. The skies should be mostly sunny and our temps should be seasonable. That... Sign in to see full entry.

It's cold for Texas;co-worker OK; group lunch today

It is a cold morning for Texas. We have a temperature of 29◦ and some very clear, crisp skies. We have little or no wind. I am glad for that. Today will be clear with a high of 57 ◦. We will have a low tonight of 37◦ and then a gradual warm-up for the rest of the week into the weekend. We have a... Sign in to see full entry.

Petersen; cold; co-worker; gift to myself

Scott Petersen’s jury gave him the death penalty. I am a big fan of the death penalty. I think it should be used where appropriate. I don’t know if it is justified in this case. While I do believe he killed his wife and baby, I just don’t think the evidence was that overwhelming to give him the... Sign in to see full entry.

My office mate had a bad day and I don't like that.

I share an office with a nice lady engineer. She works with us in survey because she wanted to get some survey experience and she helps us out with some engineering stuff we don’t understand. She is a very competent worker and learns quickly. Today was not one of her better days. It has upset me... Sign in to see full entry.

Hope the forecasters are wrong; it's Monday (again); etc.

I hope the people forecasting the weather are wrong about it at least for the next few days. They show lows of 32 and 26 for the next two nights with plenty of strong wind. I know we have the strong wind already. So they might be partly right already. This morning we have 54◦, a strong wind, and... Sign in to see full entry.

I like Extreme Makeover, Home Edition!

I like Extreme Makeover, Home Edition. It is just the coolest show they have going. I like all the demolition and rebuilding, but the part worth watching is the end when the family comes home and sees their new house. It is just amazing how people react. There is a lot of pressure on the poor people... Sign in to see full entry.

Wonderful Saturday; activities planned!

I wake up to a most wonderful Saturday morning here in the great old state of Texas. It is crystal clear and our temperature is 46 degrees. The high today will rise to about 75 and we will have clear skies all day long. This will be a glorious day. We will take a trip downtown later to have some... Sign in to see full entry.

Normal entry for the day!

I will jot down a few of my regular items for this day and then get on with getting ready for work and maybe write another piece or two for a blog. It is 56 ◦ right now. We have clear skies and a very slight breeze. So this is a great morning. I truly love days that begin like this. We will have a... Sign in to see full entry.

Company X-mas party; niece did fine

My company Christmas party was last night. It is fun to sometimes get out and see people away from work. I like to see everyone dressed up and with their significant other’s. The company spares no expense for the party and we really enjoyed ourselves. I work for a fairly large engineering company.... Sign in to see full entry.

Started morning bad; X-mas party tonight; like Miss Jennifer!

Today has not started the best. I overslept by about half an hour. I do leave myself plenty time in the mornings so I will be OK. I will just have to cut down on some of my writing time. I will be fine. It is 49 and clear this morning. That is nice. We will have a nice day today with highs near 70... Sign in to see full entry.
